Alan Ball's INT

Were my eyes deceiving me, or did I see Ball play some corner on Sunday? I think he's more valuable at corner right now.
Right now and for the rest of his career.

People who say he didn't read the route just don't watch the game or know the history of the Giants and that double move that Steve Smith has always killed us with.

He's gotten Scandrick repeatedly with that very move. It's the same move he put on Scandrick that made him drop to his butt last year. Ball read the out and as soon as he saw the WR coming back in he drove on the ball. It also has a lot to do with formation and the fact that the Giants like to run that move in the red zone too.

Ball himself has been burned on that move by Smith playing as a CB in the game at Giants stadium in 08. There was a PI call on that play but it's a prevalent play in this series and he finally made them pay for it.

It's a play I'd always imagined ball making, on that very same move. I never imagined him being so disappointing this season though. And before that play, on that same series, he made a good read on the WR coming across the middle and was aggressive on the route.

I just read an AP article this morning and they said that Ball was playing nickel cb on that play.
