Would definitely do that, if it were offered. Having the extra picks gives us more freedom to take the best player at each spot.

Well I think most are banking on Ward having a higher ceiling because he does have traits closer to that of Jayden Daniels and Shedeur doesn’t….but as prospects they aren’t that different to where teams question taking Shedeur.

But this is interesting for so many reasons

• Browns HC will start the season on the hot seat
• Signing Garrett to a record extension
• Drafting Hunter AND coming back into the round and drafting Shedure is more doable than some realize.
• This would give TWO TOP PLAYERS on cheap contracts, which is huge coz Watson's contract is still on the books for one more year.
• It finally starts a process that helps the franchise and fans put the Deshaun Watson nightmare behind them.
• BTW...... there's some rumbling the threat of Deion ( taking their job) is why some GMs and/or HC won't draft Shedure

IMO he goes in the first. The big question is if he falls to the teens/early 20's.

Definitely could see the Stealers taking him if he falls that far.

Yeah but that’s the thing about being on the hot seat you don’t get grace on a rookie qb. Gotta win now. And I get what it happens but it’s why what Dallas did last year was so stupid. You have everyone on the hot seat and under one year deals. It’s a wasted year.

I’d love it too, but I don’t see Jerry moving down that far. They are most likely primed to add what they think is going to be a top receiver whose jersey is on the rack immediately in the gift shop.

The first rounder is their big acquisition of every off-season so I doubt he trades for a future first, which he has only done when Parcells and Jimmy were here (notice any pattern there lol?). Sigh.

Jerry thinks they are that one WR away from the Super Bowl, when in reality if they are going to continue to ignore top FA they need to find a way to acquire more picks.

Also….if you have two firsts next year and get a little lucky, maybe you end up with two picks in the top 5-8 and there’s the ammo to go get Manning if the right team lands the top spot.

This QB class is weak and I would hate to be the GM of a team that needs a QB.

I think Ward is overrated too. His Mahomes imitation is not the same as the real thing. But, he has some tools and with some development time he could turn out to be a decent QB in the NFL.

I don't see the Sanders hype at all. showing a few flashes of quality play is not enough for me to draft him in the first round. He has a lot of flashes of dumb play too.

Dart is moving up the board too quickly. Based on what? private choreographed workouts and the combine? Someone compared him to Josh Allen and his name shot up the board.

If I was looking for a QB to take over for my veteran QB in 2 or 3 years, I would take one in the later rounds hoping to develop him to be ready when my current QB ages out.

Keep in mind they were turned down by Stafford even after offering $50M+. They considered Rogers and finally settled on Wilson. Now they are supposed to have a strong interest in using the 3rd overall pick on Sanders? As you can see, they are all over the chart with this. It's why I don't see the drafting Shedure at all.

But Breer made a good point in that Mara may have now gotten involved with some sort of mandate.

Agree about Ward, but he's a much cleaner prospect and more mature than Sanders. What gets overlooked by some is that Deion built both programs at Jackson State and Colorado, trying to showcase Shedure. Tons of hype but the NFL will cut through that and evaluate real talent, and it's exactly what we are seeing now IMO.

There is not a QB prospect this year that I would spend a first on

which I cannot remember the last time I thought that.

BUT of course it will happen; stupid and desperate GMs always do this; that is why so many QB busts in the first rd

I actually would do that trade with the Browns as this overall first rd is very weak

the meat of this draft is late first rd and second rd to early third rd
Getting as many picks in that area would be in our best interest

we need RB, WR, TWO DT's, TWO LBs

and that is just our most vital needs

if we did this deal we would have a shot at nearly all of them

Those two, GM and HC, are lucky to have been brought back. What if Sanders goes somewhere else and is OROY? They will be out of a job if they don’t gamble on it. Wilson is terrible.

Sanders certainly is not saving the HC or the GM. Cannot see him playing in NY in that open air stadium with swirling winds come November. You need an arm in those conditions and I don’t think he has it. NY media could possibly eat him up as well.
