ALCS Game 2 Thread

oh here comes the bullpen, redemption begins now.

oh sweet snow monkey its rapada.

If this team can't protect a big lead like this then it doesn't deserve to be in the playoffs. Things like last night happens every blue moon but two straight nights would be ridiculous.

Huge failure right there by andrus, HUGE! w cano comming up, terrible.

After last night, I'm making no assumptions, but man, what a missed opportunity last night.

If today's game ends in a W, we could have been 2-0 with Cliff Lee about to pitch. Ugh.

last night's game just brought this team back to reality... it might have been better to lose a game that we was "slated" to lose anyway with Sabathia on the mound. We go up 2-0 we'd still have no idea what moxy this bullpen has. Now the guys are getting their lumps and getting a chance to redeem.

Everybody sees that we can't just ride Cliff Lee/CJ Wilson to the World Series.. this is going to have to be a team effort. I'd rather that happen now, than realize that on the road and have a chance to lose 3 straight in Yankee stadium. Going up 2-0 means nothing in a 7 game series against the Yankees in Yankee stadium.

However circumstances are looking like we are learning as we go. Bouncing back from last night is huge and shows that this team can still pull this off.

If we hold on here then all that loss last night did was put more pressure on lee which should be no problem for him. He's on full rest and on a big stage, i have no doubt he'll come through. So that makes it 2-1, the next game is a toss up. If CC pitches then in all likely hood it'll be 2-2, if it's A.J then who knows.

Then from there i'll assume it's C.J v Hughes/Burnett which should be 3-2, Lewis vs Pettite could be the last game, but if not then it will come down to Lee vs C.C in game 7.

I like our chances in this series even after blowing game 1.

**** it Oliver Id rather you give up a home run than a lead off walk, AGAIN!

wow, talk about redemption. that was rememption all the way around, rapada, oliver, oday, young. now don't blow it!

Gardner, Jeter, Granderson

vs. Feliz

Feliz needs to come into this game, shake off some rust...

That was a great at-bat by Mitch. Good show from Oliver, would have liked to see him get fired up after his inning though. A fist-pump or some emotion would have made the fans go nuts :laugh2:

Whew. Now off to New York. Good game.

These commentators sucked. One guy sounds like he is talking four octaves to high and the other guy sounds like he has marbles in his mouth. Then there is Craig Sager. Not impressed by TBS at all.

No it was awful. Besides clearly favoring the yankees they said the same things over and over and over.

Good game, but somebody, please , please, please, talk to the bullpen and give them a hand!

They also just regurgitated the same stuff the jack holes from the ALDS said every game also.

I am glad I was not the only one to notice the clear Yankees bias.

The bullpen did great. Hopefully this will help Feliz get the butterflies out.

They did do well, but you get the feeling that they were just on edge the whole time and it definitely did not come easy, which is ok, just let them know its going to be fine you are going to be fine have confidence.

welp, cliff lee time. need him to come in and dominate and need that bats to keep on hitting and dear vlady, COME ON MAN, turn it back on. A win means we get to throw Lee and Wilson at them again, as well as lewis.

Like I said last night, the Rangers could be up 2-1 in the blink of an eye. Message to Yank starters: stop putting the team in early deep holes.

As for "bias," John Smoltz last night remarked, "Now we're going to get a pitching change to see if O'Day can HOPEFULLY stop the Yankees momentum." Kinda revealing if you ask me.
