Could anyone of you imagine this in your wildest dreams?

Rangers would be 5-0 on the road

Rangers would curbstomp the yankees so badly that it cleared the stadium.

Wow, you'd be called a crazy homer.

You would be called insane.

I wish we had swept this series... we should have...

The Yankees have a dangerous lineup, but I like having Cliff Lee in my back pocket for game 7 if need be...

ESPN reports that Tex is out for the rest of the year...

That slide was an act of desperation. Confident teams/players generally don't do that. Gardner did it in Game 1, but he's a speedster.

Well that was ghastly. They haven't hit worth **** this entire series, and Girardi going to the pen is like waving a white flag. The good news? Mo will be well rested for the World Series.

If it makes you feel any better of all the teams in the league if anyone is coming back from this its the Yankees. Its far from over, you know the yankees are going to come out fighting even harder tomorrow, would not be surprised at all if they get the W, sure hope not but we got a lot of work left to do.

No problem. We can't win it all every year.
I don't understand? I don't know much about baseball, from what I understand the Yankees are allowed to outspend 5 or 6 other teams combined, but yet they can't win it every year? There is something wrong if they can't!
The most unfair game rules in the history of the world.

I just don't understand why MLB hasn't passed a rule that says every Yankee game starts with the score - Yankees 12 (other team) 0, during the regular season, than spot them 15 in every playoff game.

You can never predict a series, but the NLCS looks pathetic...

It looks like (right now) that he ALCS is the World Series"...

That would only delay the inevitable. Aside from the Minnesota series, they've been sickly since September. Tonight was just more of the same. Teams have come back from 3-1 before, but I don't see that kind of spark in them. Losing Tex doesn't help matters either.

Because New York and their fans are the only thing keeping MLB going financially...

Ironically, they are the team that killed baseball, so it's a two-edged sword...

My only worry on that would be that if, "IF" we win tomorrow and the NLCS series goes to 2-2 or worse 3-3 we may be a little cold, think Wash handles that side of the game extremely well, but we are just so hot right now would be best if we could just go straight into the next series. I'll take a win tomorrow though ;)

Sorry I got here late guys, had to work:(

How 'bout them Rangers! You know, if Texas can stomp a mudhole in their rearends tomorrow and close them out right there in their own backyard, it will be sweet revenge for '96, '98' and '99. The Rangers are doing things to that team that haveb't happened in 50 years, LOL!
GO TEXAS :lmao2:

I want to keep the current offense going and take Wash completely out of the mix...

If I didn't see it, I wouldn't believe it.. but I saw it, and I believe.

Once again outside of one inning we have completely won this series from start to finish. At this point we gotta finish up the job.

Question:
Ok the Yanks spent 200 mil this year. They are going to be plenty mad when they lose this series. Are they allowed to up their salary, to say, $500 million next year, so that they can win the title?

Weird, they are still talking about the Yankees shortcomings as opposed to the Rangers being a very good team...

Very annoying...

Rangers have to earn it like the Rays did. I have no problem with it.

Going to other sports it happened to the Saints too.

Yeah, I turned it off and went to MLB Network who destroys the competition on talking baseball and that includes Baseball tonight on ESPN. MLB Network IMO is the best sports network on television. Better than NFL Network because they don't have bias personalities and they talk about the game in great depth.

Couple of thoughts on last nights game.

  • Tommy's cutter was getting rocked hard. It was odd too, because it actually had pretty good movement. His curve had a sharp break to it, but his fastball was straight as a board. I'm very surprised there wasn't more damage done.
  • Big Money Bengie! :) That HR couldn't have played out any better. Especially with the intentional walk of Murphy to get to Bengie
  • After that first game I was so angry with Oliver, but he has really come back and pitched well. Being a long time Ranger fan, memories of some of his early days with the Rangers had resurfaced after game 1.
  • The Rangers could have swept the Yankees if not for that ugly 8th inning in game 1.
  • It's good to see Hambone heating up.
  • Nelly is a beast. Thats four HRs in the post season for him. He also had a great catch
  • Hats off to Holland. He pitched well in long relief to bail Hunter out.
  • It's like the Yankees are doing everything they can to hold on during the game, but the Rangers are just to much and the runs just start pouring in by the end of the game.
  • Three down, one to go and the only way the Yankees come back is to go through both Cliff and CJ!
  • This team has everything. Pitching (starting and bullpen), hitting for average, hitting for power, running, best combined outfield arms in all of baseball, gold glove infielders and an experienced catcher. This team has got it's you know what together right now. You couldn't have it like that at a better time!
  • Josh Hamilton ties ALCS record for HRs in a series with four.

Real good points thee three were the ones that stood out to me:

1. Lost in our game 1 debacle which has made our bullpen appear kind of shaky is the fact that outside of Kerry Wood, and Rivera the Yankees bullpen looks just as bad as the Rangers has. The scores just get too out of hand to make too much of an issue out of it. But now I'm thinking if Rivera doesn't have the ball in the 9th, in a close game I think we have as just a good of chance to take the game from them, as they do from us.

2. It is very possible that Colby Lewis the guy you didn't name will be the guy that wins us this series. I am expecting us to finish off this demoralized bunch today especially with it being an afternoon game right after that outstanding comeback. But don't count the Yankees out in their home ballpark to just sit here and get swept.

I don't think the ball gets to Cliff Lee though we're going to pull this off very soon.

3. We have everything except the bullpen. There is still no confidence in the guys coming in throwing the ball outside of maybe Holland now. Our hitters have just bailed them out of tight spots with these late inning blow outs. But I still don't see anything special with our RP.
