Bad man right there.
Go Stros!!Bad man right there.
Kid is unconscious right now!!!!!!!!
Never saw him as a 30 homer guy, but here he is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
I thought he could develop into a 30+ homer guy. I'm surprised it happened this quickly. His bat gets through the zone as quickly as anyone. He's got a great eye and discipline at the plate.
Dbacks kicking themselves over passing him up for Darby Swanson.
Interesting sidebar, a couple years ago many Stro fans were hopping mad Luhnow refused to include Breg in a trade for Sale. How's that looking right now?
The kids power is surprising.
If you asked me in 2016 who would have the better 2018 season: Altuve, Springer, Correa or Bregman... Guess who would have been 4th on the list? lol
On a side note definitely disappointed in Correa's offense... This yearly injury thing isn't helping. He has the potential to be a .300/40 HR guy but ain't doing it.
Not sure Springer or Correa will ever have those skills. It's what keeps them from being great players.
A good eye at the plate is something that can't be taught, but patience can mask a little. Quick hands through the zone is another trait that you have or don't. Still, quick hands don't help if you're swinging at bad pitches.
I'm with you. Tuve and Breg are my cornerstones for years to come. If Springer and Correa want superstar money, I let them walk after issuing a qualifying offer. I'd rather a comp pick than overpaying either.
I don't know sabermetrics from Adam, but I do know the value of guys who can work a count and find a way to 1B. That said, I'm not a fan of the strikeout being no worse than any other out belief.
Where Breg is leaps and bounds better than Springer, Tuve and Correa is his eye for the strike zone and plate discipline. Tuve could hit 350 with 30 dingers every year with his swing, if he'd just learn the strike zone and lay off pitches outside the zone. Tuve has shown the ability to do that in the past.

The only argument I have for keeping Springer is that his clubhouse presence might be the best in MLB.A good eye at the plate is something that can't be taught, but patience can mask a little.
