Is that the French spelling of Norv, or are you typing with your forehead?

That got a laugh from me.

Doesnt bother me at all. AB would suck no matter the coach, QB and team he is on. Simply is his crappy personality.

That old 12 yard Irvin gets em every time.

Irvin and now AB are the only 2 that can pull that off.

Hence AB = Irvin

Did you see how bad the Bears were? The Bears blew off that game. Besides, why should I give a damn about that disrespectful little twit AB, the first round bust in Smith and a tight end that is irrelevant to us?

Not any sicker than I got watching Bryant catch passes from Trent Dilfer last year in Cleveland.

Unstoppable.........combination of size, excellent route running and a pass thrown before the WR is out of their break.

The 49ers have a bright future ahead on offense and defense. I thought so last year after playing them and I think so this year as well.

I agree with this post. Too many people have been down of Smith but I like him. I think he has some ability. I also remember the last #1 QB Norv coached up. They just might be on to something out in SF.

Come Alexander, Norv having AB at his disposal has gotta to make you feel sicker than the Cleveland crew.:)

Alex Smith looks like he setup shop in the 49ers weight room.

I heard Chris Landry on XM a couple of weeks ago and he said he was talking to Mike Nolan and mentioned how Leinart would have been his pick had he come out the year before. He said Nolan said he would have still picked Smith as he fits in better to what he is trying to do...

Norv had some incredible weapons at his disposal when he was in Dallas.

The fact that he has not lit the world on fire in Washington, Miami or Oakland lessens the sting of not having him around. I am begining to believe his best value to us in those days was as a QB coach/sounding board/shoulder to cry on for Troy Aikman that he was as an offensive mastermind.

As for Bryant, I haven't seen anything in one preseason game that he didn't do for Cleveland and even Dallas. If he is still doing these types of things in week as the season wears on and the losses pile up, he will show his colors once again. I don't know much about Smith other than he needed some weight work. His legs and arms were puny last season.

I would take that with a grain of salt. What is he going to say, they took Smith out of necessity? Of course he is going to say he would pick him again in a do-over.

you have got to be kidding

the only legit things in common to what we had before are 1) they are coached by Norv Turner and 2) they are a QB, WR and TE

none of them are even REMOTELY close in ability at this point to what we had here, and probably never will be...especially when comparing Smith to a guy like Aikman and Bryant to Irvin

Did a hell of a job with Heath Shuler.
