Alfred Morris wishes he was still a skin?

Given how bad their running game is looking, I don't blame him. He would have a better chance of starting.

I know everyone just hates it he is not bleeding silver and blue. Does not matter to me.

When a team no longer wants you, that rejection. Nobody wants to be rejected. Every player wants to stay with one team for their career. That would mean they were having a great career and getting paid.

If I had my way I'd be rich, sometimes you have to do what you have to do.

I didn't take the comment as he was wishing he was still a Commander. Business is business
I didn't read the article. Typical thread. Who cares. He's a Cowboy now. Once a Cowboy killer...now needs to be a Deadskin destroyer.

It's not unusual for a player to want to be resigned by the team that drafted him. Since the Commanders sent him packing, it's not as though he had any other choice but to go where he was wanted and offered a place to play. It takes time to get acclimated to a new job.

He probably took it hard when Zeke got the nod in the draft shortly following his signing with the Cowboys. I couldn't blame anyone for feeling disappointed under similar circumstances. Anyway, he's a Dallas Cowboy now. Let's just wish him good fortune and hope he'll take a liking to his new surroundings once he's had adequate time to feel comfortable.

Since that didn't happen, it's not like he had any other choice but to go where he was wanted and offered an attractive contract. I'm sure it happens to players all the time but most of them don't state it publicly...

Sounds like he's just saying it wasn't his choice to leave WAS. Pretty much par for the course.

I'm thinking it's possible he felt an explanation for his leaving Washington was in order for the satisfaction of his former fans. He is also probably disappointed in his 3rd RB standing, although stating his feelings publicly likely wasn't the wisest thing he could have done at the time. His #3 RB standing could change suddenly to a #2 if McFadden isn't retained for the long haul but that's a story for a later date if it occurs. In any event, as long as he gives 100% on the field, I'll have no complaints. Knowing of his work ethic in the past, I think he will.

Gotcha!

I'm sure most players want to stay with their original team so it's not shocking. I just wouldn't have said it on camera
At least he's honest.

He had a good thing in Washington..

but he obviously couldn't keep it going carrying that load. His play fell off.

He has a second chanve here and got paid well considering other teams were not opening the bank for him.

With this OL he could gain 1000 yds as the backup here..

extend his carreer and in 2 years leave and get a better deal elsewhere if Dallas can't afford him.

That would good news all around.

I don't want Elliott getting beatup and injured in his first couple of years in the league.

I would be happy with both of them dialing up a 1000 yfs each and see how it goes.

I bet DeMarco would still say he wishes he was still in Dallas.
