Alfred Morris has been the consummate pro....hope he doesn't get the treatment that the Skins gave him.

IMO, Morris didnt get the biggest amount of chances to show himself off, but he did get enough chances to at least get at least one great run which he never really did. Still could be a great back but you dont always get a lot of chances in pro sports and good players do end up on the bench.

McFadden will be a FA after this season. I am sure he will see what offers he gets. But I would not be surprised if he signs a deal to stay here.
Morris is under contract for another year, and is a good insurance policy. Especially if McFadden leaves. Dunbar is also a FA. But the love fest these coaches have with him means he too may sign a deal to stay.

I wouldn't mind seeing a RB combo of Zeke, McFadden, Morris next year, and there will be another Darius Jackson type they may draft in the late rounds again.

One of the beat writers was lamenting poor Alfred losing his job....said wonder what he did to deserve that? Seriously? What does this team owe to Alfred Morris, and what has he done to deserve to keep his job?
Reporters always like the nice guys, and Morris is one of the nicest guys in the NFL by all reports.

Morris needs a few carries to get going. Remember how well he looked in preseason. If Zeke was hurt, I'd go Morris first then McFadden.

Morris has lost his first step. He's just not the same guy he was when he put up 1600 yards as a rookie. I don't know what happened, but it's just not there any more. He's a really solid character guy and I hoped for him to have success as Zeke's backup, but this season he's consistently made nothing out of something.

He just doesn't offer as much as McFadden does. McFadden is a versatile player.

In a large role i'll take Morris.

Sure. But McFadden's contract is up and we've got Morris on the hook for another year
I can see the Cowboys releasing Morris and adding DMac for another year.

It seems that before drafting Elliott and DMac getting injured, DMac was penciled in as the starter with Morris backing him up.

whats his role on this team now? i dont think he played one snap against TB?

I think his lack of versatility makes him the odd man out. Both McFadden and Dunbar are true receiving threats and can contribute on special teams.

I like McFadden better as well. I just feel like his speed is better for this OL. I'd like to keep Morris for insurance, he's still a solid RB. It just hasn't really worked out here.

Morris is the best pure backup....he can take a pounding and get 20 carries
Dunbar is strictly a CoP guy that can split wide but struggles with the blitz
DMC is kind of a hybrid of the two.....he is not a thumper and not a Sproles but can fill in anywhere

There is no need for Morris if DMC is active........all of them can be replaced next year or brought back.....we are talking about 5 touches a game..... I would have never waived DJackson for these 3

And he was slow to begin with. This is why he's no longer serviceable. It takes forever for him to hit the hole. Reminds me somewhat of Felix Jones in his last season with the Cowboys.

I had bigger hopes for A Morris, but the problem is that everyone pales in comparison to Zeke. McFadden is gonna have this problem too.
