I saw Alice Cooper for the first time on their "Killer" Tour at the Dallas Memorial Auditorium.

That Theatrical performance is one of the top 5 performances I have ever seen, by anyone, in all my years of going to rock concerts. So that's saying something.

Saw him in NO on the "Welcome to My Nightmare" tour and it was a hell of a production with a massive net, web, as a backdrop with actors portraying spiders and one of them slipped and became entangled hanging upside down and Alice looked around and just kept singing while he helped them get the actor back on the web. Crowd went nuts.

It is hard to imagine that he used to put away a case of Bud every day and he stayed slim except for that little beer belly.

Lucky you, as i have mentioned before the original band was very good and the albums from Love it to Death to Muscle of Love were awesome. Perfect mix of the macabre and teenage rebellion.

It was, seems every interview i seen from him in the 70s there was always a beer in his hand. His wife had a huge hand in straightening him out.

Alice Cooper / Schools Out & Killer deluxe reissues

From superdeluxeedition.com:

3LP vinyl • 2CD deluxe

BY PAUL SINCLAIR

Alice Cooper’s 1972 album School’s Out will be reissued in June alongside the album issued before it, 1971’s Killer.

The 3LP edition features a pop-up school desk and panties – just like the original (but these ones are non-flammable, apparently!) and sleeve notes from Bill Holdship.

The Killer reissue also includes an unreleased concert, this time from Mar Y Sol Pop Festival in Puerto Rico from April 1972. Like School’s Out this edition also contains some studio extras, in the shape of alternate versions of three songs from Killer.

I love Alice Cooper. I have a bunch of his albums that I bought on vinyl from RCA Music Service (remember them?). I never got to see him live. I remember the Christian high school I went to had some objections to his lyrics, especially the ones from Cold Ethyl:

Ethyl's cold
Ethyl's frigid in bed
Ethyl should be
Because Ethyl's dead

I laughed at those lyrics. They did not turn me into a necrophiliac.
