Did anyone see him tonight. He won, but my god has he withered away to nothing. He'll be at Light Heavyweight soon.

He actually looked bigger tonight than in some of his previous fights.

Look at him in his Pride days.

Those were some fun fights tonight.... Ufc is as good as it's ever been right now.

Yeah, he roided up for a while and had to back off.

What did you think of the two stoppages? I thought the Dos Santos one may have been a tad early. He looked like he maybe could have gotten up and continued. I'm undecided about the Cerronne one. He went in to a shell and wasn't trying to get up, but at the same time I never thought he was in real danger of being hurt/knocked out. I'm more ok with that stoppage though.

I thought they were both too early.

Cerrone was stuck in a bad spot but he was protecting his head. If you're concsious and blocking they shouldn't stop the fight imo.

Dos Santos looked fine to me as well.

This is why ex fighters should be refs.

These guys have no idea what they're doing.

There has been a ton of controversy regarding these stoppages in the past year. Something needs to change for sure.

Disagree - fighters by nature don't care what happens to them during the fight. Cerrone is one of my favorite fighters, but he had all but given up in those exchanges. He even later said that sometimes you just don't go to work. I think the Dos Santos fight was called short, but I would always error on the side of too early rather than too late.

He's definitely off the roids. It takes more skill than anything tbh.

You may like this short docu. Mark Kerr speaks about his experience with them.

There was a full length documentary about Kerr called The Smashing Machine.

Yep, I used to have it. Truly a sad story but his trainer Bas Rutten said it was the drugs that gave him the drive to fight in the first place. Without them he wouldn't have been in mma and once he stopped them he just couldn't fight.

Dos Santos looked like he was trying to get up, but the rule is you have to be intelligently defending yourself.

Fight stoppages are a legit issue, but I thought they were both okay stoppages.

Same with TONS of football players.
Dallas drafted a couple. They all of a sudden didn't "like" football anymore.

Fights: I would have let both continue on for a bit more as they were championship "style" fights.(BIG money)
IMHO you let those run a little longer.

Overeem. He is probably the most powerful and accurate HW. The weight loss is probably the best thing for him.
As 240 he can move and avoid damage himself. At 265 he just ate shots.
Definitely off most if not all the juice. He was probably on the wrong stuff anyway.

Very fair and I have no idea if either could have turned things around but I have seen Cerrone in worse shape come back to win. --not versus RDA obviously, lol.
Lesner was in FAR worse shape versus Carwin and they let that roll and he won.

IMHO you treat a fight with millions on the line a little differently then for a guy making 20k.

Someone on roids robs their body of it's natural test production. Today those guys get TRT exemptions to at least get back to normal range.
Before a cold turkey cut off from it resulted in basically becoming a woman emotionally. --higher estrogen than testosterone.

Sonnen will be taking Test most of the rest of his life. Rampage too. Belfort and others are same.
