We have seen great qbs put teams on their backs. Mahomes brady manning. Lamar hasn't.

What about Marino? You made an excuse for him that he didn’t have a defense and running game. His defenses weren’t terrible and he won a lot of games during the regular season. Mahomes got destroyed a few years ago against the Bucs in the SB when his team was being dominated. Peyton Manning had his issues winning in the playoffs for a number of years and never played well in the SB but his defense in Denver was dominant.

Marino did play in a SB, so the comparison is off. Nobody could beat the 49ers in the late 80s.

Mahomes can be given a Mulligan for that SB as his O line had been decimated and he was up against a top D and a great D line. I watched that game and actually began to believe in him by what he was able to do despite being beaten like a rug

We may be hurtling toward a Rust Belt-flavoured Bills/Lions Super Bowl. Which would be most entertaining, with the Bills having unsuccessfully competed there four times prior, and the Lions never having even sniffed the big game. Probably the two best teams in the League right now.
