I was away all day and expecting news when I got back and this board had nothing on it; you'd think Jerry put out a gag order or something. Anyway, since we have kept up with every player that has been franchised and snickered behind their teams back, here is the 2009 (still had to look at the calendar) All Franchise Team.

QB - Matt Cassel ($14.65 mil)
RB - Brandon Jacobs ($6.62 mil)
RB - Darren Sproles ($6.62 mil)
WR - Antonio Bryant ($9.9 mil)
TE - Bo Scaife ($4.46 mil)
OT - Max Starks ($8.45 mil)
DE - Julius Peppers ($16.68 mil)
OLB - Terrell Suggs ($10.2 mil)
OLB - LeRoy Hill ($8.3 mil)
ILB - Karlos Dansby ($9.7 mil)
CB - Dunta Robinson ($9.95 mil)
FS - O.J. Atogwe ($6.34 mil)
K - Shayne Graham ($2.48 mil)
P - Michael Koenen ($2.48 mil)

Looking at it, I just can't understand some of the tags. How many on this list would you want on the Cowboys for what they are going to be paid? And Bryant's refusal to sign the offer or hold out? Ahhh, that $10 Mil should look great compared to the salary he was making in 2007.

Edit: Added franchised value.

A punter tagged???:lmao2::lmao2::lmao2::lmao2:

Yeah, although he is their kickoff specialist too.

At one time he was even going to handle field goals, but went 2 for 8. He is tied for the 9th longest fieldgoal in the NFL though at 58 yards.

They could have used the franchise on him since they didn't use it on Asomugha and paid him $2.48 mil but that's pretty close to the 4 year $12 mil (Edit: Probably more than year 1 of his contract). Not sure how bad the move was since he is their franchise player, lol.

Bryant got franchised? talk about a stupid move. And even dumber if he refuses to sign- but that is Bryant- never been all that smart.

Nah, LA would have taken care of him long ago. Would have popped his head off like an old time Coke Bottle.

Also, look at what Julius Peppers gets salary wise for the franchise tender. DE and corner are the most expensive defensive positions in football. So when you see the best corner in the league averaging $14.45 million the first 2 seasons of his new contract and all the guaranteed money is absorbed those 2 first seasons where he most likely will remain most productive, don't be so shocked.
