there has to be rule ie refs have certain amount of time like 2mins after the last play to decide to review, over 3mins went by,, insane could have cost us closer game. taking away a 60 yarder to review a 3min old play!!

That just shows that icing the kicker is overblown. If icing the kicker works, get a new kicker because the one you have isn’t strong enough mentally. And the mental aspect is just as important as the physical.

I was definitely ‘meh’ when I saw the news that they were re-signing him. And boy was I wrong! Yesterday I was cheering him on like I haven’t cheered for a kicker in years. I was especially loud when the refs cheated him out of that first 60-yarder. Disgraceful!

I was very happy to see him turn around and make it again. And I appreciate his restraint. I’d have flipped off the refs after that!

I very much hope he gets a long term contract. It seems like he’s learned what his past issues were and he’s now among the best weapons in the league at his position.

Congratulations Mr. Maher! Well done sir!

I’m always concerned before a FG attempt no matter how many in a row have been made. They’re going to miss at some point, I just hope it’s not a critical game-affecting kick.

Saw this morning that Brett's the only NFL kicker who has made over 3 kicks from 60 yds or longer; he broke his own record yesterday (has 4). The guy should be recognized for his achievement.

I thought we were stupid going with Maher too. I remembered how terrible he was in 2019. However, what I failed to do was look back at how he performed in 2020 with the Saints. In 7 games with the Saints last year he was 16-18. Only 1 of those misses being under 50 yards. So over the last 17 games he is 35-39 with 3 of those misses being over 50 yards. I would say that we are very lucky to have Maher as the kicker. Guy has drastically improved since 2019.
