Just turned 32 and all I want is for JJ and BP to go out and get John Abraham and a starting RT this off-season. If we shore up these 2 positions, it affords us to do what the hell we want in the draft. Trade up, trade down, take a C, take a Wr, take a FS. It doesn't matters as long as those 2 are filled. Give me a present Jerry!

Happy birthday.

Abraham will likely (IMO) land in the NFCE the question is where... ?

CAn you say Irving? Thx for the HB!

My only problem with Abraham is that he is often injured, but he still remains on the Most Wanted list. Does anyone know how good Abraham is in coverage? Chances are, he will play LOLB in the 3-4 and the position needs to be decent in coverage or else we will have problems.

Happy Birthday. If we did those things, it'd be pretty nice to have a type of draft where you can never go wrong...

I don't think coverage will be his problem and as for his health problems, I think it goes back to why BP didn't want Ware going up against Ts all game long. It wears you down. I think Abraham health is a by-product of going against teams best Ts for 40-50 plays a game.

all I'm saying is this, if we give up alot to get Abraham, and give him a fat contract, he better be ready to play, and he better play very, freakin' well

and in saying that, I don't want to take that chance, rather we go the draft route, and give up less, so just in case he flops, we can be like, "oh well" and cut our losses, instead of Abraham not living up to his contract and what we give up for him, and be like, "dayum, we have to account for his fat contract", well, that's my thoughts on the matter ;)

Give him his money, but all loaded in incentives linked to playing time, etc. His durablity is a concern, but as 50cent said, it is probably related to getting beat up every Sunday against guys twice his size. Oh, and he's alright in coverage...not great, but alright. Then again, he won't be signed for every down pass coverage anyway. Our D-line with him as a stand-up OLB would be formidable to understate it.

Abraham at OLB opposite Ware in the 3-4 will be DEADLY!! No one will know where we are blitzing from!!

Hope it happens!!

Jeez, I would have wished for Jessica Alba or something. Abraham can wait.

Happy Birthday.

Well my boy got me a Halle Berry poster, so the female side of my Bday has been taken care of already.

from another thread...
While I agree that Burnett wil go inside, I don't see how we draft an Ware type this year.

In the 3-4 defense the "other" OLB has different resposibilites than the one Ware holds.

We're not looking for a speed rusher here. We need a guy who's good in coverage and against the run. That's how the 3-4 works.

now why do we want abraham?
