Offense

QB- Manning -> Can't argue Brady's results, but with NE D and coaching, Manning would have the rings too.
RB - Tomlinson -> Great runner and receiver. Great numbers when SD was bad
WR - Moss -> Best deep threat in NFL now, and probably ever. No one player draws this much focus of defenses
WR - TO -> This team is based on skill, not attitude. Can't argue what he brings onto the field.
WR - Chad Johnson -> Good receiver on a mediocre team. Had Kitna throwing him the ball, and inexperienced Palmer last year. Hard to argue against Harrison, but I like Johnson more at this point.
TE - Tony Gonzalez -> Done it for so long, and been so effective. Gates and Witten are compelling, but they have to do it a bit longer.
LT - Jonathan Ogden -> Besides Dwight Freeney, I haven't seen alot of players trouble him. Jamal Lewis didn't put up 2,000+ for no reason.
LG - Larry Allen -> Cowboys Homer or not, this guy is sitll damn good. Probably someone who's surpassed him, but I'll leave him on here, now that he's blocking for a good RB again.
C - Jeremy Newberry -> Was hurt and plays on a bad team. The guy is a brawler, and an excellent center.
RG - Allen Faneca -> Pittsburgh gave Big Ben plenty of time to throw, and opened up lot's of running lanes for Bus and Staley. Leader on a stellar line. RT - Orlando Pace -> Not a RT, but there's not alot in the game you hear about. Solid player, better than Walter Jones I think.

Defense

DE - Julius Peppers -> This guy has it all. 6'6", 300lbs( he bulked up this offseason), and speed. Huge, athletic. Probably the best DE in the NFL. Does benefit from playing with the rest of the great Panthers DL.
DT - Kevin Williams -> Good against the run. Good pass rusher. The kid is a beast. Will only be better with Pat Williams by his side.
DT - Kris Jenkins -> Great against run, and a good pass rusher. Anchors the best front 4 in the NFL.
DE - Dwight Freeney -> Undersized, overproductive. Quick as all hell off the edge, gets to the QB, bottom line.
OLB - Derrick Brooks -> Lot's of intensity, speed, and a leader on a good defense. Still among the game's elite.
MLB - Ray Lewis -> This one doesn't need to be explained. Recorded huge amounts of tackles in 3-4, where he faced alot of blocks form OL. Great leader, makes everybody around him better.
OLB - Keith Brooking -> Returnig to the weakside will make him better again. Very good LB on a decent defense.
CB - Champ Bailey -> A bit banged up, and not playing with a team with a great pass rush(they took in all the Browns D Linemen). Still probably the best cover corner in the league.
CB - Chris McCalister -> Is it the players around him? A little bit. But the guy is physical, quick, and rarely gets burnt.
FS - Ed Reed -> Plays on a great defense. Still, good enough to be the best FS in the game.
SS - Roy Williams -> Harrison has more rings. Dawkins is good. But Williams plays SS better than anyone else. Intimidating over the middle, now that he is back in his natural position, closer to the LOS, he will reak havoc on RB's and WR's alike.

K - Adam Vinateri -> This one needs no explanation
P - duno, thers enough who get the job done

JMO..some positions could probably have gone differently. Add players, make your own, whatever, entertain me, Im bored at work.

I thought Reed was FS. My bad. I think his deal is that he'sjust a safety, he free lances. Id rather have Reed and Williams, or Dawk and Williams. Reed and Dawk are real good cover guys, get a guy who can play lights out. But I agree. Between Reed, Harrison, Dawkins, Williams, it's a tough decision

Ed Reed is labled as a SS in madden but thats not really what he is, Ed Reed is more of a coverge man who stays in centerfield that is how he gets picks. To me Dawkins is a FS also. Roy is a true FS.

How about Marcus Washington? Since you've already selected a WLB in Brooks. Washington was an excellent SLB for Washington last year.

It's a good list. Hard to argue with most of it.

I like Will Shields from KC at RG over Faneca.

I'd love to see those OT bookends.

OLB I disagree with you even though both of your picks are very good. I'd take Keith Bullock of Tennessee and Takeo Spikes of Buffalo.

Roy is a strong safety.

I'd take Kevin Mawae of the Jets at center.
Shane Lechler would be your punter.
Marvin Harrison at WR over CJ. What if he played on a average team?

I dunno, what if?

I'm gonna say, any additions I would agree with too. My OLB could have used some work. WR is a real tough one, there's alot of good ones out htere. Harrison could easily be on that list.

Yeah. I would have to put Shields on tht list as well. I just watched some of KC's 2004 highlight video and was shocked at how Shields pretty much dominated Ray Lewis during that MNF game. OL play doesn't get much pub, particularly on an individual basis, but what Shields did to Ray Lewis that night has to be one of the best performances of any NFL player last season.
