He should be voted the "Most Valuable Player" on the team.

His blood runs cold in clutch situations.

You forgot the one in Arizona where he kicked a winning FG only to have his own coach call a timeout ;)

The only clutch kick I can remember him missing is the Baltimore one last year but besides that one I can't remember him missing a clutch kick since 2011.

I was at that game. That one hurt me bad!

Also it's only fair to mention, with all the criticism he receives (from myself included), Romo got us in position for most of these game winners.

If I'm not mistaken he now has the most game winning kicks in cowboy history.

Is he the best kicker the Cowboys have ever had? In the time he's been on the team the rest of the team and the fans haven't had much confidence but he just motors along like L.P.

If he plays for the Cowboys for four more seasons, it's not inconceivable that he could have 20 game-winning kicks by then.

Bailey is great but lots of those are chip shots. I'm still waiting to see him kick a 50+ yarder, trailing by 2 as time expires. A 21 yarder is an extra point.

Against the Niners, he kicked a 48-yarder, trailing by 3, as time expired. Close enough.

Yeah, that's a big time kick. And I think I remember him kicking a near 50 yarder to tie it as time expired, then he kicked the 48 yard game winner is overtime. Other than that, the rest have been chip shots.

no, the OT kick was very short. It was after the long Jessey Holley completion when he got tackled basically at the 1.

You can make the case that he is. Rafael Septien is about the only other I would consider in his league. I also think he does not get his just recognition for being one of the best in the league right now. Only Blair Walsh and Justin Tucker have a better career FG% and I would not trade him for either right now.

Glad to see that he is at the front of the line for the next contract extension. A kicker that is automatic does have great value.
