I'm happy that MM was chosen as coach but the only thing that worries me are the coaches experience. Not sure If I should be worried about it or not. Dont get me wrong, coaches with experience is a good thing but what is it going to bring to the Cowboys? I've read plenty of discussions on this forum about wanting new coaches who can adjust or have a more modern defense or updated defense or a more modern offense but with all the coaches being brought in with experience are we going to get that? If roles were reversed and we would be bringing in Marinelli as our D coordinator and say JG as our O coordinator because they have lots of experience, would everyone be happy? Are we going to get a modern offense and defense with our new coaches who have lots of experience or same old tired O and D we have had for the past 9 years. Is old experience going to update the Cowboys old ways?

Kellen Moore is still there and me thinks he will be groomed to be the HC IN WAITING when Mike is done. I am all for that.It keeps the offense fresh and gives Mike a young coach to help communicate back to the team. It makes sense.

I hope so. I believe Kellen is going to be so much better once he learns from Mike.

With Kellen still here I only see our offense getting better with MM in the building to guide the ship.

From my understanding our defensive coaches are known for game planning team specifically. In other words where Kris Richard was more of a coach that his scheme was around doing what we do and not changing from team to team our new coaches scheme based on opponent. If that is true then I am fine.

Kellen is a sponge and I'm sure its gonna be a great thing learning the west coast offense from Mike..and I think Kellen can keep that scheme up to date as well with fresh ideas and wrinkles. Maybe a hybrid.

he reminds me of a young Sean Peyton.
Then I hope we can keep him...Will Jerry let him go when they come calling for him...If our Offense kicks some arse this coming season, its going to be hard to keep him.

That would be a very good analytics experiment.

Do coaches who worked in winning atmospheres produce winning teams more often than coaches who come from losing teams?
And how much experience does a coach need to succeed as a Head Coach?
