I personally don't like taking that many small time prospects. I know we have gotten sorta lucky with small school guys but i would feel uneasy taking that many in one draft

This is a very interesting draft.

Quite a bit to like here and it's unique from most of what I've been seeing posted.

I like Bruce Irvin, but I don't like him in the 1st. To be honest, I'm not sure he is an improvement upon Victor Butler as a prospect, and we only spent a 4th on Butler. If we have to spend a pick in the first 2 rounds, I might be out on Irvin (unless he destroys the combine).

9 sacks in D2/Gannon is like 2 sacks in D1 which translates to 0 sacks in the NFL. An NFL caliber players should dominate in D2. The D2 record holder for sacks (Schiechl) went undrafted to the Jags last year and didn't crack their lineup.

yeah IDK if bruce irvin is a first rounder. But you really won't know til after the combine. If he runs 4.5 or 4.4's with a good quick 10 yard dash than we might see him jump to a late first rounder. You never know. Especially since the nfl has seen what von miller has done. They are almost the same size. And bruce Irvin looks super quick also.

And victor butler and bruce irvin are not alike. Victor butler uses power and rip moves to get to the QB while bruce irvin uses pure speed.

i like butler but bruce irvin quick twitch and speed is crazy. Him and ware could be called "fast and the furious" lol

Schiechl is not 6'4 325 DL (and Scheichl would have been better off going to a 3-4 team, not a 4-3, anyway). Besides, I did not advocate drafting him, only signing him as a UDFA. Like Romo and Austin, he would be a small school gamble.

there I fixed it for u, Judie is an Aggie not a Longhorn. How about instead of Judie in the 3rd, we take Boykin, who not only is a very good CB, but also one helluva KR.

I am just not a fan of Judie or Harris. Other than that, I really like the rest of your picks. Nice effort.

No, I get it. I'm fine with signing him and seeing if he sticks.

I was just reacting to the thought he was a monster. 9 sacks in D2 is not really a monster. His size is worth looking at. But his performance is a nothingburger.

Huh. I always see Victor Butler as a speed rusher too. I don't see him as a power rusher.

So I just see them in in the same role: a situational edge pass rusher.

(Also, I'm almost done with Irvin solely because that highlight video is awful. The first 3 minutes of it is some ****ty rap song with Irvin dancing or walking around on the field. Seems too much thuggish look-at-me crap--the anti-Ware. Now granted, when the ****ty video finally started showing actual football plays, Irvin shows some interesting skills. But I really don't like his attitude and demeanor. Players who dance to music during a football game gives me the fricking hives)

Thanks for the fix. I like Boykin as well, especially as a returner. He was in my earlier mocks. But both Judie and Harris are better corners IMO.
