Keep in mind that if it happens it will happen on the clock because you need to have the player there you want.

Secondly, several teams have made it clear that they are willing to trade down.

While it is assumed we have a relationship with Miami, that doesn't mean a team can't deal with say Denver at 11.

So while we may have an "in" with Miami teams like Philly and NE have way more fire power to move up.

We'd not only lose valuable picks, but it would take players as well. Risk/reward is too great. We may get the player we covet, but we may just weaken our team now and in the future to do it.

If Miami or Denver is wanting both our 2nd and 3rd, I tell them to get lost. No player in this draft is worth a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.........not even Eric Berry and especially not Earl Thomas. Hell, I wouldnt even give up those picks for Suh.

This team has six picks and alot of holes to fill, I don't see Dalllas trading up at all, if anything, it wouldn't surprise me at all if they traded out of the first round

Would we really be worse off w/o guys like Spears and Barber? I don't think so and if it's to get someone like Thomas, Berry, Iupati, or Bryant then it's well worth it.

I think it all depends on who slides. If we are sitting at 27 and the board is picked clean (no Iupati, no Pouncy, no Bryant, ect....), then it will be pretty obvious a trade down is coming.

Barber we saw Choice fill in well when Barber and Jones were hurt, so yes we could survive without Barber.

Spears perhaps not. Yes Bowen and Hatcher are better pass rushers but we have no idea if they can hold up in the running game. If Spears isn't the best run stopping 3-4 end he's close.
