I just posted an interview he did on KTBB.com today and I was kind of shocked about his comments on Jerry. He actually gave him some credit as a GM.

I think JJT wants more than anything to be buddies with some of the players and when that doesn't happen he just waits to talk smack about them.

Also, JJT makes a good point about Roy. What the heck is he doing going on a vacation this week and why would Wade and Jerry allow such nonsense? Perhaps they really don't care if he's around since he clearly isn't in our long term plans.

Beat me to it. This illusion that the Patriots let their best players walk and just draft new superstars has got to stop. If you look at their drafts, they aren't any more successful than anyone elses really and they don't let any more good players walk than anyone else either.

One of my favorite comments by JJT was him whining and saying "not until training camp?" after Parcells told the media that he's not taking any questions on Owens until training camp, after the media just got done asking about 45 questions in a 30 minute span.

In his defense he said that in reference to getting our core guys signed to long term deals and not taking the route of trying to replace guys in the draft. That's what he meant by that statement. As opposed to New England who routinely lets FAs walk and replace them.

Actually JJT didn't say anything about NE, I threw that out as an example that came to my mind when he said it.

Yeah I know they signed Brady, Moss, etc. but they let a pretty big one walk in Samuel and they have let guys like Branch and Graham also walk the last couple of years.

JJT's point was that we signed our core guys which was the best strategy instead of letting them walk and trying to draft their replacements. That's all he said on that subject.
