There are mounds of evidence to deem this Front Office as incompetent, but the only piece you really need is this: you trade a true number one receiver, for a fifth round draft pick, when you just gave up a first round draft pick for him four years ago! CeeDee Lamb is good, but he is no Amari Cooper. In fact, I would say that the presence of Amari on the field made CeeDee a better receiver.

Amari cooper could go out and run routes so good that would open up the offense, but people kept crying about him not getting 150 yards a game and not showing up and he was a crybaby all of which wasnt true.

stats are the most useless thing in football......CeeDee is good but he needs Gallup and Washington BADLY he'll be the number 1 but both coming back will take the focus off CeeDee

Has a Jerry ever considered an independent audit of his operation? Such things can help weed out corruption and inefficiency within a corporation. I’d imagine he hasn’t.

Then draft a WR in the 3rd to have him inactive week 1 when Gallup is still out.
Would you have preferred the Cowboys activate Tolbert even though they didn't feel he was ready quite yet?

This has nothing to do with Gallup.

You can’t pay a WR 20 million. It was also part of the problem. And you just got spanked in the playoffs! They could’ve went out and did better than James Washington. But this team is “homegrown” lol it’s the fact that this front office overestimates the talent here and they’re bottom feeders in free agency and they never learn a lesson.

CD is fine. Moving on from Coop was the right thing to do. We do need somoene to step up and a QB that can actually read a D and throw to the open man. Also a game plan that works for the Team would be good to and let's not be shy about running the ball. Coop had 3 receptions for 17 yards yesterday, not like he was a world beater. CD is a WR1 but we have to do things to help him, like maybe a gameplan that incorporates a few plays that are scheme driven.

That wasn't the point

The comment wasn't about Gallup, it was about the disastrous offseason plan to "rebuild" the WR lineup.
I'm not expecting a 3rd round rookie to come in and lite the world on fire week 1. But I think it's very fair to say that a 3rd round pick, should be active and should be getting some playing time when the current roster consist of Lamb, Brown, Fehoko and Houston(UDFA this year).

Now, I'm not going to say he's a bust after 1 week, but it is very concerning that this FO dumped Cooper for scraps and takes a WR in the 3rd who can't even crack the active roster is a slight against the F.O.

The Browns restructured Cooper's contract; and if the reports are accurate, Cooper wanted the Cowboys to do the same thing. They traded him for a 5th round draft pick.......FIFTH ROUND; and who did they draft in the 5th round? Matt Waletzko, a tackle from North Dakota.

Restructuring a contract doesn't mean the money just goes away though, you're just spreading money out over more years. Cooper is probably going to count $5-10MM against the cap after that deal is up...and that is assuming they dont restructure again next year or that number will go even higher.

Restructuring Coop's contract was the right thing to do; moving on from him was the absolute wrong thing to do. You can't just take his stats from yesterday and imply that was his overall contribution. Coop opens up the field for other receivers; which is why, in my opinion, Lamb had a productive year last year. So, if we look at Coop's stats from yesterday, then it's fair to look at Lamb's. Our WR1 had 2 receptions for 29 yards. There's no other way to look at it, our incompetent front office destroyed the #1 offense in a matter of weeks.
