I missed something I guess. Who said we need secondary help? Whoever said that's been under a rock.
Yes...we have safeties...and to make a broad brush statement like we need secondary help was very vague. The need is not dire.We clearly need help at safety.
You know that's a secondary position, right?

A need at safety? YES...but 90% of the secondary is set.

Talkin about the starters we invested picks in over the last 2 years. Anthony Brown, Jones, Woods, Chido,Jordain Lewis, Duke Thomas(bubble guy)...Marquez White(will get a chance to play).90%?
So name the nine locks then.

We have at least 3 on the squad today and will most likely draft one and pick up a UDFA. No need to spend big bucks
on an older guy.

Someone like Boston is younger than Heath FWIW.
If Jones truly makes the switch to Corner, our safety spot is incredibly green. Woods spent a good amount of snaps IIRC at slot corner and Frazier got some playing time in spot duty.
Burnett sort of set the market for the safety spot, with his 3 year 14.5mil contract. Unless of course a team offers more $ on a 1 year deal.
If anything, I think we need a vet at safety, not WR. With losing Scandrick, our most tenured vets in the secondary are Jeff Heath and Anthony Brown. That's why Earl Thomas would have been huge and coupled with a 3rd or 4th round pick at safety could shore up the secondary for years and give them a good leader in Thomas for 2 years. I'd prefer us to get a WR in the 1st, keep Dez, trade for a good veteran safety (assuming Earl is too expensive) and go LB/OL in the 2nd and 3rd.
Wrx or sti?
