Allen Iverson had a celebrity flag football game here in DC directly across from Fed Ex field last week. It was his team against Carmelo Anthony's team. Carmelo's team wore Ravens jerseys because he's from Baltimore. Most people in the audience assumed that Iverson's team would wear Commander jerseys, being that this event was held at their stadium but Iverson's team wore authentic Cowboys Jerseys. The announcer was calling Iverson to the field and everyone was excited and cheering for him. When he walked out on the field and they saw he was wearing a Cowboys jersey, there was a split second of silence and then all you heard were Cowboys fans cheering and laughing at the faces of the Commander fans. They really looked heartbroken. It was priceless.

:laugh2:

I never pegged Iverson for a Ritchie Cunningham fan. That's an awesome throwback.

Allen was an amazing football player, btw. Would've been something to see the little guy choose football over basketball.

I've heard Iverson could have been the next Deion Sanders if he had chosen to play football. Anyone with a crossover dribble that devestating has to have amazing quickness. He's got a football mentality too, because he's just fearless driving the lane and drawing contact from guys way bigger than him.

Speaking of something to see, Lebron James was 1st Team All State in Ohio as a junior at WR. He had his choice of D1 offers and football was reportedly his true love, but the temptation of going to the NBA at the age of 18 as the #1 pick in the draft was too good to pass up so he decided to just play basketball his senior year. He reportedly ran a 4.40 at 6'8" 240 lbs.

A.I. is a big time Cowboys fan. He was in a Texas Stadium suite the night the Triplets went into the ROH.

Yep, Iverson was a great HS football player, which isn't hard to imagine, as quick as he is. Rather than Deion, though, I think he'd have been another Steve Smith.

I think he was the number 1 prospect in both football and basketball coming out of high school. He was a QB.
