Allow me to try and defend Red...

Bad game plan
The game plan to dictated to them by the O-line situation. Short passing game was really the only option. Individual plays that were called I question don't get me wrong.

Not Red's finest hour, not by a long shot. In the beginning of the second half, they were running the ball pretty good. But for some reason, he went back to his cute passing plays and that ended the drive. Plus too many penalties.

Red needs to stick to the running game longer. It was working pretty good tonight, but he went away from it. Had he stayed with it, play action would have worked much better.

Neverthe less, the offense moved at ease, but penalties at bad times cost us, what else is new. That last play of the first half killed us.

The foreskins scored 6 points of their own..........we should have one with that lone TD.

Garrett hasn't had Barron as his starting RT the last two years, so seems pretty invalid to me. He still doesn't seem to know how to get into the rhythm of the game. And as soon as something works, he breaks away from it and tries to get cute. Especially once we cross into the opponents territory. The only thing i'm giving him credit for tonight is the 3 RB option play.

EASY answer shining star.....he was calling that garbage to slow down and counteract the skins pass rush. They were running through our oline and Barron like a hot knife through butter. No 5 or 7 step drops are going to be possible with line play like that. Think about it.

Ah, I think not. Running a toss with Felix, maybe. With Barber? Hell no. We actually ran a toss to Barber on 3rd and about 2. I actually think we ran the same play to him numerous times in short yardage situations. A 10 year old should be able to realize that's not Barber's strength. Again, Felix, yea. Barber. Please.

Let's run some more tosses to Barber on a third and short since he's so fast and can turn the corner better than Felix. :bang2: Garrett did this all last year and he picked up right where he left off. His biggest weakness is that he seems to learn nothing.

...or the myriad [7 ?]of WR screens, which should be banned from the playbook...too much trickeration and finesse...Barber throwing a pass near the red-zone?...come on man, really...

Garrett has an uncanny ability of using the wrong players at the wrong time and in the wrong situation...he seems not to grasp the unique abilities/skillsets of his players, something a certain other head coach excelled at...Jason's stock, once soaring with Peyton and Sporano pulling the strings, is teetering near a junk rating...numbers are for statisticians...points win you championships...

...this Barron fella is worse than we've been led to believe...the Cowboys offense will function much the same until Columbo returns, hopefully somewhere close to his pre-injury level...Holland is at least serviceable and Free will be fine but having to close down the offense with "bunker" protection scheme's are really going to hurt when they start facing juggernaut offenses...it'll be ugly...

...i've said it before many times since the nineties that no team consistently squanders talent like Dallas...every time the superbowl hype starts the team takes a swim...

I don't blame him. The offense was moving with ease. Penalties cancelled a lot of those plays out. That's not jason's fault.

I agree completely.

Yes, and we are ALWAYS a heavily penalized team. That points directly to coaching.

The three screen passes to Dez Bryant are going to boggle my mind for a long time. I don't really know what the hell was going on there other than Garrett just being stubborn. Also can't get over the toss to Choice on 3rd and 2 in the fourth quarter.

I think it's a no-brainer that they called the screens to Bryant just so he could ease into the game. Simple passes that are easy to catch. I understand the reasoning, but it wasn't working. Once, maybe even twice, but no more.

Once is fine. Two in a row is ridiculous. Another one on the next possession is inexcusable.

2 consecutive WR screens to Dez Bryant, toss sweep to Choice on 3rd and short when running between the tackles has been the strength of the offense, HB pass from Barber (!) in the red zone.

Yeah right. Garrett's ****ing garbage. Get him out of here.

...simply horrid!...and this series does'nt inspire confidence going forward...you would never confuse a Garrett offense, with it's premium on complication, scheme and surprise, for a Norv Turner offense, with it's premium on execution and simplicity...and why all this confusion before the snap on the part of Romo?...it seems he's always drawing things up on his hand with mere seconds to go before a delay penalty...time and time again...

...one more thing...Romo won't have a guy he can really trust until either Columbo returns, opening up Witten, or Bryant emerges...his rapport with Williams still needs improvement and Crayton, a trusted guy, is gone...they missed him tonight...but when you only have two receivers in the pattern it becomes difficult given the o-line issues...
