Alright, let's hear it.

With this D 7-9, maybe 8-8 at best. Who can we stop? JJ did nothing to improve this D, and the ol is still a mess

Week 1: Jets
Week 2: San Francisco
Week 3: Washington
Week 4: Detroit
Week 5: BYE
Week 6: New England
Week 7: St. Louis
Week 8: Philadelphia
Week 9: Seattle
Week 10: Buffalo
Week 11: Washington
Week 12: Miami
Week 13: Arizona
Week 14: New York
Week 15: Tampa Bay
Week 16: Philadelphia
Week 17: New York

Probable losses are in red, 50/50 games are in orange, probable wins are in green.

Based off of that schedule i think we'll win at least 8 games and let's say we split with both Philly and NY we'd have 10 wins. Then of course the ball can bounce our way in a few games and it can be more(or it can be the other way around).

I see each one as a 50/50 game. You go out and play poorly you will lose to any team on that list by the same token you go out and play well I don't see a team who can't be beat.

To be fair, shouldnt the same hold true for the 10+ predictions as well?

No.

I say let's try and weed out the trolls. A fan saying that he believes his team will go 12-4 isn't trying to incite anything.

A 'fan' claiming that it's a 'surety' that the team will go winless or close to it...there's a decent chance that they are looking for attention. A 'fan' calling people delusion because they predict 10-6 season...there's a decent chance that they are just torlling.

I think we can eliminate that chance if they give a mea culpa if the team proves them wrong. I cannot see why it's such a big deal for these people if they are the fans that they claim they are.

Personally, I think 98% of the users here are Cowboy fans.

I disagree.

I think there are Cowboys fans on this forum and then there are either fans of hating Jerry Jones or some weird type of self loathing Cowboys fan who needs attention and this is their outlet for that.

And I think the latter two are probably at least 10% of the regular posters (we'll take out the fans of other teams, which is probably at 2%)

Even still, let's say that 98% are true Cowboys fans. 2% that are just fans of hating Jerry Jones/self loathing attention seekers is 2% too much.

I'm not saying that I expect these people to come back groveling...just a 'I thought this team was going to suck this year and I can see how that could be looked at as not being a fan or being a troll...I was wrong.'

I just find it funny that supposed fans of this team find it so difficult and are so unwilling to even think of that. And then these supposed fans want a mea culpa from the actual fans who had some optimism about the team last year (that didn't have a losing record since 2004 and won a playoff game the year before).

I just think it speaks volumes on these people as fans and their egos.

9-7 w/ hopefully a playoff shot because I think we'll be playing better as the season goes on as opposed to our late season collapses that I'm used to. Mostly because Tyron still needs a lot of work and probably Costa too if he starts.

Right now. 6-10

-Secondary is one of the worst in the league
-Holland/Smith on right side of the line
-no depth at WR

Too bad.

Record 6-10 ... Maybe if you get lucky and beat DET and STL you get to 8 wins.

8 wins doesn't get you into the playoffs.

PHI vs NE in the SB

Ofcourse we all want the team to do well, I root for the Boyz every single time they play. However, my expectation is the team will go 8-8 with the current roster. This is based on the fact that we have major holes at safety and offensive line. Now I hope the team does better than I think they will, but I also hope I win the lottery.

Then you have nothing to worry about. I don't doubt you would cop to 'hey, I thought this was an 8-8 team going into the season, but they did better. I was wrong. Glad I was wrong.'

Have the people who predicted a 12-4 or 11-5 season last year issued a mea culpa yet? Yeah, I didn't think so. Quid pro quo.

Ha, good point but its ok to be wrong when you're being positive

If we lose to freaking Detroit, we should just disband the team.

Seriously.

Detroit is turning the corner, they have a good, young up and coming team, losing to them is not the shame it once was. I think they'll have a good year if stafford stays healthy

I think they are looking to trade for a real safety but as of now Im thinking 9-7.

Offense will need to be scaled down to protect Romo and the D is obviosuly in a transition year.

We'll split with Philly (Young will be starting by Thanksgiving), aint no way we can win on 9/11 (in New York to boot?) forgetaboutit. NE is gonna be good again, dont see us beating them.

The Gnats will split with us and I see us losing one we shouldnt like Tampa

11-5

I'm going to wait to see what our final roster looks like. A couple of months ago I predicted 10-6 or 11-5, with an outside chance at 12-4. Right now, I'd settle for 10-6 and run with it. IF we sign a couple of starting qualify safetys, a vet OG, and a vet WR, I'll stick with 11-5. If not, I'll probably downgrade.

I see us hot out the gate, beating NYJ SF and Washington. I see a loss to Detroit, New England and then a win against ST Louis, close with Philly but i'll go with us spliting the games 1-1 since not sure how the team will play together, beating buffalo, beating Washington, beating seattle, beating Miami due to QB situation, beating Arizona, losing to NYG twice, beating Tampa.

that makes us 10-6, and is a very unbiased look at the season.
