A young WR entering his prime who can get good numbers without the best QBs throwing to him (and consistently getting doubled). He didn't have the best year last year (missing several games due to injury), which might help in our chances of getting him, but if he makes it out of Chicago, he could be a monster across from Dez with Beasley in the slot and Romo throwing. The only question I might have is how much will he cost (though Jerry has never minded paying for talented WRs). What do you guys say?

Well players that hit the open market always get paid more. Take Mike Wallace, for example, a few years back.

If Jeffrey hits the market and goes to the highest bidder, he could very well get a more expensive deal than Dez IMO.

I doubt it, simply for the reason, he isn't Dez Bryant (or D. Thomas). He had a very very good 2013 campaign (finishing 6th in yards), but was injured this year, and only had 1,133 yards last year (good enough for 14th in the league). He also hasn't been the red zone threat Bryant and Thomas have been so far in his career (granted part of that might be Cutler) having only 10 TDs last year and 7 the year before. He will get a good contract, near elite, but nowhere near what Dez got IMO.

Just saying people on the open market tend to get paid more than their worth. Mike Wallace had a couple solid years and an injury riddled one right before he hit the market but he got paid as an elite receiver.

Dallas can't afford him

Yes they can if they choose to do so. The cap situation is fine and that has been well documented.

Seems like they have too many holes to fill to be paying out like 15 mil for a wr.

Too many needs elsewhere to invest that much cap space in the wide receiver position.

Jeffrey is this year's equivalent of Ndamakung Suh last year.
