Alternate Reality

Anyone who thinks that Dallas will even contend for a SB with Dak, BS and Jerry at the helm must be smoking them funny cigarettes. And your brains have turned to mush.

Dumb, dumber and dumbest should be given one way train tickets to Palookaville. And just stick Stephen in the luggage compartment.

I was against resigning Dak, so you know what situation I'd rather be in. But I'm not crazy about this QB draft class. I'm not sure I'd want to use a high end 1st round pick on one of these guys. Maybe take a shot at one in the 2nd.

In the alternate scenario, I'd go with Milton this year, that should put us in good draft position next year.
Maybe you didn't get my point there is no alternate, once you change not signing Prescott, Milton is probably not here this year,

do you guys not get the scenarios when you go back in a time machine you change 1 thing lots of other things change ,

if Prescott is on another team this year, it changes all the free agent moves ,that were made on other quarterbacks like Geno Smith Sam Darnold possibly Kirk Cousins etc etc you have no idea where we'd be at right now if we made that call,
and again if you don't resign Prescott you must also not resign lamb or Parsons you trade diggs and you try to trade Tyler Smith..
I mean if you guys are hating on one player because you think he's holding us back, you have to blow it all up, and therefore Milton would not be available right now ,we'd probably be having LANCE and Cooper rush start this year... :muttley:
but hey you all like having high draft picks, so maybe you would love that to have a 2 or three year stretch Where we might win three games maybe 6 years, but hey we could talk about top five draft picks all day, we get to get new we get to restart and rebuild, yay!!
the problem here is we don't know how long that would take.
So while we're in this alternate time machine hypothesis world you might want to think about not having much of these options this year and we would be really bad that was the scenario as soon as Lamb was signed Prescott almost had to be and now Parsons has to be now you have to go with a short open window and just hopefully things work out but don't worry we'll be in that little area once again that when Troy left let me know how many years and how many quarterbacks I believe it was 12 maybe 14 before we even got lucky with an undrafted free agent in Romo, this is what some of these other teams in the league have been going through..
we've already been through that but when you look around you think you see another team Get Lucky on a quarterback and you think that's going to happen for us but that's not guaranteed the only thing guaranteed was resigning the players that we have and trying one more time that's it that was the only scenario other than blowing it up and being really bad..
And again I was actually ok if they decided to do that if they don't sign Prescott and they took this whole entire offseason dismantling everyone and that means no osa no Tyler Smith no digs no Parsons nobody because that's what it's going to take because these are the players including the ones that walk this year in Lewis and tank that have been here failing they've all been failing so you got to try to get all the trade value you can with all of them and start fresh but then who knows we get to be the Jets the Giants the Browns and really feel what losing is all about because people think losing is 36 wins two division titles going to the playoffs five out of eight years no the other side of it is much worse than that..

I get your point. I just think Dak has the yips when confronted with situations that are dire. We see it all the time. If we're kicking ***, and out in front, he's good. But if we're down and getting punched in the mouth, he sucks and makes things worse. This has been a pattern.

Not getting into that again he doesn't have the yips it's kind of hard to function as a quarterback when nobody's getting open when there's no run game when the offensive line is getting record amounts of penalties when the defense is dropping interceptions can't break up passes giving up 300 yards or 7 tds..

So again if you want to break the team up because the team has been failing and that is true as a team we've had so many all pros Pro Bowlers and great players just withered under the lights it's hard to play quarterback when everything in front of you is falling apart it's like being in a war they're always looking degree and you get separated from your group and now you're on your own it doesn't usually workout too well..

I mean we sit and look at what Jalen Hurst did this year that's what a team looks like one of the best offensive lines one of the best running games 1 of the best defenses in the league that's how you win big I don't remember a game where Prescott was the sole reason we lost the game like hey everything's going great we got 100 yard runner our runners going off our blocking is great our receivers are getting open you know the defense keeps the score under 20 when all those things are happening prescott can win games on the foot side of the Super Bowl we saw Patrick Mahomes wither under the lights because he had none of what he usually has there was no run game the offensive line looked bad the defense couldn't stop the Eagles and they lost that's how it works and he looked really bad in that game because hey let's bring up a Prescott narrative how'd that final stat sheet look for Mahomes and garbage time with worthy just you know making this look a little less like a giant blowout you know in garbage time stats it's kind of odd right that happens to real quarterbacks all the time it's hard to play when you consistently have nothing in front of you blocking well or running or getting open and your game plans and your coaching adjustments this all goes into play.

He does not fold under pressure he literally is a player looking like he's desperate to make plays as the game looks like it's getting out of control and like most quarterbacks they start forcing things and that's okay because if he had a defense or a team that has his back like Matthew Stephen who led the league in interceptions through two interceptions in the Super Bowl but it didn't matter because his team had his back.

Seven touchdowns giving up into Green Bay game and all people can remember is the two interceptions what they failed to go back and break down those plays and find out that Brandon Cooks didn't even run a great route and yes he was covered but the ball was thrown to where he can either catch it or would hit the ground but he got interfere with that once but twice that shoulder pull created the leverage to get to the ball and that's how they picked it off that's just too bad prescott's trying to make a play, Let's not leave out who started all this big contract would be lamb in that game he broke his router he was supposed to finish his crosser or whatever play he was running to the post he was supposed to come across the face of the quarterback that's what Prescott expected and saw when Lamb planted his foot like he was going to do that he let the ball go and guess what happened lamb went off script and broke it upfield because he felt he was covered and was just trying to make a play and the ball got picked off do you want to go back and break those plays down and tell me those were Prescott's fault?

Here's an option you can blame everyone or blame the quarterback i'm not gonna sit here and let you blame the quarterback so the same scenario happens when you want to rebuild this team you got to go back to last year not sign lamb then there would have been no need to sign Prescott then we could sit here and have this conversation about rebuilding the team and trading everyone you possibly can trade and starting over this is just to the West i'm all for that but it's too late...

I remember all these games all you guys remember are some early mistakes by the quarterback but you forget that the run game was completely shut down the offensive line was getting bullied on our side of the line of scrimmage or they were getting penalized or both the defense wasn't playing well enough and they didn't make the plays they needed to and the coaching staff had no answer their game plan was trashed their play calling was trashed so let's blame it on everyone and so we can be fair here...

Rocky...where you been bro? The Dak ambassador has arrived from his annual Dakcation (extended LOA needed when you bash everyone as the leader of Dak club but realize he sucks)
He doesn’t suck. He’s the starting QB for the Dallas Cowboys. Deal with it.
