Seems like they'll be content with Church and Wilcox but I get your point. I think I'd be pretty upset if we didn't go DL in the first, or at least OL. Biggest obvious needs.

He'd be a great addition, but we've so many holes on this team the cost to trade up to get him would be far greater that the impact he would likely have.

I want us to get started on drafting for the D-line this upcoming draft so we can let Hatcher and Spencer go. Hatch has been excellent player this year, but we've seen what happens when you give these big contracts to guys in their 30s. Somebody posted something about Hatch saying he didn't want any bad footage out there of him, so I have a feeling as soon as he gets paid, he might not look like the Hatch we've seen the past couple of years.

Clowney was hyped something fierce last year. This year, he looks slow, disinterested and taking plays off if not games off. Last year I would say he was a sure fire #1 this year, I dont no if I would draft him with a early in the 1st, he could fall big time because he has lost his motor.... Clowney could end up like a Sharif Floyd....all hype

Jerry will give him a big contract to reward him for his play this year. 1 year of good play is the only thing it takes for Jerry to serve up a huge long term deal.

Clowney will frustrate the fans of whatever team he winds up with. Ridiculously talented, half-hearted. He takes plays (and games) off, and only occasionally flashes the megastar talent he has. Still, half Clowney is better than 90% of the rest of the 1st round, even in a good draft.
IMO, he'll be the defensive end version of Randy Moss.
But even with 100% from him, he alone can't turn around this mess of a team. The issue isn't on the field, it's in the owner's box.

Clowney woud not even scratch the surface on this mess. Also he has a reputation for taking plays and games off.
