Am I The Fan Here To Go The Longest Without Going To A Game?

The last Cowboys game I went to was the 1973 NFC Championship loss to the Vikings. It was one of only two games I've been to, the other one being a '72 or '73 loss to the Giants. It sucked being a kid and for some reason always seeing the Cowboys lose whenever I went to a game, even though they had a great team back then. The same thing happened with several Texas Rangers games. We went to five games in a one-month period, ALL of which they lost.

The curse continued for YEARS with other teams. No matter what team I went to see and root for, they lost. In the late 90s/early 2000s, I was living in Denver and rooting for the Colorado Avalanche hockey team. They had a great team at the time, one that won the Cup in '96 and '01. However, between 99 and 00, I went to 8 games, and the team lost EVERY single one.

The curse was finally broken in 2001. I took a big risk by going to an Avalanche playoff game against the LA Kings. I didn't even have a ticket. I had to buy one from a scalper. However, they won! The curse was broken. However, that remains the only victory by a pro team I've ever rooted for in person.

I don't live anywhere near Texas. I have family in the Dallas area. I've thought of going down for a visit and catching a game, but given my history, I'm wary. Do you blame me?

The only games I have ever seen the Cowboys play in person were against the Eagles in Philadelphia. And most years the Cowboys lost, but I continue to go when I can just to see them play live. It is a terrible feeling to see them lose in Philadelphia and to hear that stupid fight song every time the birds score a TD.

I can almost guarantee there are posters here who have never been to a game. I am 32, a lifelong Cowboys fan, and I have only been to one, the infamous Tony Romo give away game against the Lions in '11.

I really have no desire to go to a game. Too expensive. I'm fine watching them on TV.

I've never had the financial means to make it to a game, which is fine, I know I'll make it to one eventually. Until then, I'm content with watching the game through a big TV and having cheap beer/food.

In Texas Stadium i dont think it would have been to not have made it to a game however in the new Cowboys Stadium I think every fan should have the right to at least SEE COWBOYS stadium even if you dont see a game seeing that unbelievable stadium is worthwhile.

I'm 43. Been a Cowboys fan since 1978. I've yet to go to a game.

I don't get to watch via big tv. I watch it on a 6"x4" lo-res streaming video on my PC. But it's better than not watching at all.

I've been to the stadium. I just watch the games on TV if they're on & I'm fine with that.

Why don't get a cord to connect the PC to a big screen?

I've been to several at Texas Stadium but have not made it to a game at the new stadium, hopefully this is the year. I did drive through Arlington a couple months ago and got to take the tour though. Highly recommended if you get the chance.

1970. Old Yankee Stadium. Giants won 23-20. I was awash in Giants fans and sitting behind a giant iron pillar. Not fun.

The first game I went to was in 1972. I grew up in Albuquerque, NM and since 1972 I have been to 12 games at Texas Stadium the last one being in 1982.
