Dallas was in a downward spiral until Jones realized he needed a real football coach. Jones dismantled the best team in history in the mid 90's by chasing out the true architect in Johnson and assuming that he could run the personnel department. Jones brought us Campo, Gailey, Carter, Hutchinson, Wiley, the Michigan QB, so memorable I forgot his name already, etc......... Parcells restocked the cupboard with talent and it won't be long before Jones tears it back down with his "shrewd" personnel moves.

If that's the case, Jerry's magnificent ego just saved us from the doom that is Norv Turner. Two franchises have attempted to recover from his incompetence, and failed. Jerry saved us from being mark number 3.

Turner wanted some control and Jerry wouldn't give it to him plain and simple. He turned to Phillips, because Phillips didn't make similiar demands. That sounds like a recipe for long term disaster. Short term, I think the defense will be much improved and Dallas will be a contender for a couple of years until Jerry weaves his drafting and free agent magic.

lol. same old crap. its hilarious that some think Dallas is the only place where a coach may come in with some staff members already in house. It happens in the NFL these days...Its happened with other teams just this offseason.
