That really doesn't care which QB starts? I like both Dak and Romo. This says a lot about our system. I think it's set up to where if you have a good QB this offense can make them look elite. THis OL, and the best RB in the nfl are a quarterbacks best friend. With Dak and Tony I don't think there's a drop off right now either way . ROmo would've hit some of those downfield throws yesterday. The one to lucky probably would've been 6 with tony. But Dak is able to move around a little better. I think when you take all the pros and cons of both players it's about equal. I don't care who starts, and no we don't have a problem. We have an abundance of riches.

No you are not. The decision on who to start could very well make the difference between having a shot at doing something special this year. And could definitely have an effect on our ability to contend next year and the year after.

I think they are equal though. I think with this OL and elite run game they are equal. I don't see a drop off either way. I don't care if it's 9 or 4. Hell rotate them every series like Tom Landry use to do lol.

I dont see them as equal. And its not just play at the position. To win championships you are better off playing mistake free football. And 2017 and 2018 will be affected with what we do this year. If we can go right into Dak, trade Romo and get his salary off the books its going to go a long way towards getting us the peaces we need to win it all.

But if you are just thinking about the present only, then I think this team is good with either QB. Romo, however is old and brittle.

It's not that I don't care, but it's more the case that I can see us having success with either player, via only slightly different paths. There are a couple different games on the schedule where I might have clearly preferred on player to another (as I said in another thread, give me Romo v. Rodgers or Roethlisberger; give me Dak v. PHI or MIN defenses). But these are two really good QBs. The fact that Dak still has upside is even more exciting for the future. In a year or two, this guy could be a legend in the making if he keeps progressing at this rate.

:clap::clap:

Well done. And considering that Dak is the future and at this point, its close, isnt it completely obvious that the more we play Dak the quicker we get to that point where he becomes that legend?

How does going back to Romo help Dak's developement?

You're not the only one.

Either would be winning right now. Maybe even Sanchez, for that matter.
Dak will be the starter week 8 (game 7) though. Pretty sure of that much.
I'm fine with that.

Well said and I agree .

I think that if TR gets a shot, you'll see a better Romo than 2014. Just not sure he will get that shot.

I want to win. The chatter on all this is frustrating though.

The northeast national media keeps setting this daily bear trap to try and deflect from the painful fact that Dallas is good and their beloved Giants have fallen apart since beating Dallas by one point.

They're trying their best to split this locker room.

Good post. Both are great! And Tony's probably been my favorite player over the past decade.

The factor that tilts it in favor of Dak IMO, is that I don't trust Romo's failing body. He's old. He's very banged up.

I also believe Dak's style of game is very suited to this offense. We don't need Romo's houdini skills to evade pass rushers...but we do get value from Dak's rushing abilities.

All true, but I'd love to see Tony get those safeties to back off the line of scrimmage. Zeke might run for 250 a game.
