Size when comparing CB's is more about height than weight.
Understood. But we are thinking of him playing hybrid CB/S so weight does matter when you have to mix it up more.

Sounds nice, but I expect Awuzie will be decidedly unthrilled by being moved to compete at a new and less expensive position in a contract year.
Not sure it hoses him. If he's great at safety and serviceable at corner, then he's got a much better chance of cashing in by switching positions. He can either be a starting corner in this league for a team that doesn't want to pay much for a starting corner or possibly a starting safety that is coveted.
Now, it's possible that he's also just so-so at safety, but we won't know that until we try. However, the only way we can try IMO is if a couple of these other players look better than so-so at corner.
If Awuzie had a very good year at CB in 2019 then moving him to Safety would be "hosing" him; however, whatever makes him the best player in 2020 makes him the most valuable in free agency.
It is my understanding that he is going to be more of a hybrid DB, play some S, CB or even LB. If he excels in this type pf role, might even make him more valuable.
I don't think Awuzie will be competing with Woods, I think Wilson will be.
Who do you think Awuzie competing with? Dix? Or is he just depth now?
With a limited offseason to prepare, hard to be better at a new position, and it's no slam dunk to even beat out other players for the chance. Woods has the experience, and Wilson would get the push at SS over Awuzie if it's close. He's the future and Awuzie is a short timer.

Multiple timesThere are those of us who tried to tell y'all this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Worley is not very good, so I'd take him off that list as "at best".To be honest, given the depth at CB, we should probably entertain the idea of dealing him. If you were to rank the CBs in order of ability, he's probably 4th at best behind Awuzie, Brown and Worley and with Diggs being right behind him as the 5th best CB, I just don't see him getting that many snaps barring an injury.
I'm curious to see Wilson. His college position coach is now his position coach with the Cowboys.
Awuzie, Woods, HaHa and Lewis are free agents after the season. I think at least 1 gets re-signed. It could be Awuzie.
