Sounds like he is more "walking" away from football.

To me he's just one of the many ultra talented players who would have been a shoo in for the HoF if he didn't have his "issues" or whatever you want to call it in his case. Like someone else stated it just seems like his heart wasn't into football majority of the time.

Insanely gifted route runner and gets open easily. Has put up 1000+ seasons on horrible teams and with rotation of below average QBs. So the talent is easily there.

Honestly feel if he had the drive he could have been one of the best recievers during his span

Seems a bit harsh. I mean, I can think of other WR's who are "done", way more than Amari. But, oh well.......

I expected some big things out of Amari with the Bills. I was disappointed they didn't get him more involved. He's still a very good player but l can't see too many teams gambling on him.

Its possible, but man I wouldn't be against gambling on a 1 year deal for him if his market just isnt very strong. He was a 1300 yard WR just a year ago in a horrible situation in Cleveland. Hes 30 and really relies on just 1 elite trait so its certainly possible hes in regression, but it seems odd to go from 1300+ yards to done that quick.....typically its a gradual process.

I would definitely take him on a one year deal. I feel that’s a good gamble, as long as it’s a cheap deal.

I don't buy it.

A big issue in Buffalo was fit. Josh Allen is a guy who is extremely good at improvisation -- a good bit of his game is running around looking for WRs to create something. That's not Amari's strong suit. Amari is an extremely precise route-runner. He is a fit for timing-based offenses, which is likely why he fit in so well here immediately after we traded for him. Broken play improv is less his skill set.

Staff in Buffalo couldn't figure out how to use him and they are making excuses.

Yes the talent was there. I don't want to make excuses for him, but I wonder what he would have been if he had played for a better franchise. Would his drive of been better? He spent the bulk of his career with 2 teams that have a combined 1 playoff win in the last 20 years and zero division titles

Oh yeah I agree. I don't mean for it to sound like "he doesn't care", I think he absolutely does and I think he's competitive. But he just has never struck me as the type who thinks Football is their entire life. So I can see him being the type who would retire when they begin to think their career is in decline instead of trying to keep going past their prime.

There's a lot of players like that. Several of the wear or have worn the Star. Paycheck collectors instead of passionate players. Amari's biggest problem was when he got to a team, he'd put in the effort until he stopped getting the ball all of the time, then start to disappear and it would spiral. He was one of the best technical route runners I've ever seen, but he disappeared a lot.

He's a walking mash unit.........not reliable
He can still get open with the best but you can't trust him from one complete game to another. Not to mention, issues of missing practices.

I've watch him in Camp practices.

He would always stood by himself and didnt want to talk to anyone.
