I guess they are writing off expenses with their endorsements.

I look Cooper a lot. Very humble and doesn't throw any shade, despite them trying very hard to get him to talk some kind of trash. Although, I am curious as to why he didn't even know Kellen Moore was their new OC?

Also like how he answered the Dak question. In almost every Dallas interview, they try to get a player to talk trash about Dak, yet they never do. Coop's answer goes beyond though. Many players would just respond with a simple "yes" and a small explanation talking about how he can make plays, but Coop goes above and beyond to describe how much he likes playing with him. It's funny to me that so many "fans" hate Dak, yet all the players that are actually involved with him speak highly of his play and leadership skills.

A cornerstone player in my opinion. I still can't believe that Oakland traded him away. I'd extend him today.

6 years, $102 million and you have your young, #1 receiver in place.

The anti-diva receiver with nothing bad to say about anyone, even when he's being set up to.

I still can't figure out this trade at all. What the heck was Gruden thinking? Man, talk about a sinking ship. The Raiders experiment looks like the Titanic.I would have lost my my mind if that was my team and they traded away the two best players for unknown players that may not make it. Dallas has to get a lot of contracts signed. If Dak plays out this season then Dallas will probably have to franchise him twice. Cooper has to get a long term deal. I think that he is a priority more than any other player. Throw in Jones as well. I have concerns with D-Law and his long term health which I think makes Cooper the safe priority with an extension.

Wow, I am just rambling. What I am really trying to say is that the Cowboys need to get their talent signed in a way not to cripple the team. Cooper is one cool dude.

Just my own guess but I think they were not going anywhere as a team with what they had in Mack and Cooper and with the move to Vegas I think they are trying to bring some excitement with 3 1st picks this season and 2 1st rd picks the following year. I think we will see a complete makeover of that team

If Gruden and the Raiders didn't think they were going to be competitive for a Super Bowl for a few years, then a complete rebuild makes sense.

Based on the contract the Raiders gave Gruden, it seems that they told him to go All-In to win a Super Bowl even if if takes a few years.

It's a bit different but Jimmy wanted to dump Marino when he was hired to coach the Dolphins. The owner refused and Jimmy basically washed his hands of it and transitioned himself into retirement.

I know what you mean about Dak.

This team, like with Garrett..

they seem to play for them as well as with them.

As fans..we do not understand it sometimes.

Yeah.

Not exactly a bad problem for once for us.

To have quality talent AND enough cap space to keep them.

Nice.

It's a bit like when we did the Hershel Walker deal.

Gruden is not stupid.

1. Cooper 2 years out of his 3 and a half with Oakland had near historic level of drops

2. Cooper was incredibly inconsistent and not living up to his first round status

3. Talk to some Raiders fans, many talk about how he took plays off and quits when things are down

4. They are accumulating picks for Gruden's 10 year run and removing the past coaching staffs "mistakes" and choices.

Not all that difficult to get. The "sinking ship" was already happening before Gruden got there even with these "studs" - Carr has regressed, Mack wasn't winning them games, Cooper sure as hell wasn't doing anything. He got rid of two out of three for good value.
