Almost everyone thought the Cowboys got fleeced in that trade.

Now it looks like the complete opposite is true.
I was concerned about which Amari we were going to get. If he produces this year or continues his yo-yo pattern we'll know for sure.

Not sure why the Dak Boyz interpret this to mean some sort of validation of Prescott or indictment of Carr. The word (even before the trade) was that Cooper’s future in Oakland was in doubt and that he was unhappy in the offense. It’s more likely his comments were directed at the organization rather than “I just need a real QB like Dak Prescott.”

I don’t blame anyone for having doubt/reservations about the trade when it happened. Rarely, does trading a 1st rounder for a skill position player (outside of a QB) provide the expected return.

The Cowboys got this one right.

When the trade happened. I couldn’t believe we gave up s first. But we had to considering the rumors the eagles offered a second. In the long run we made the boldest move. Let’s see how it turns out over the course of his career

Agree and I wasn't expecting to say that until well into this season. He wasn't there for every game but to join a team in mid season, and one struggling in the pass game like the Cowboys were and have effect as he did is pretty impressive.

They wouldn't have gotten a better one with that pick in this draft and he's not a diva. He's confident, not cocky, and I really like that in a WR.

What's most impressive is how Bama WR's perform in the NFL once they get there. For a run team that is all about D, they sure teach WR's how to run routes.

That is the best way to look at it; however, I am all about the short term with regards to the seasons. He saved 2018 for us and that makes him worth the price to me if he just ends up average from here on out, which I doubt.

The one thing we do not know is what WR would the Cowboys have taken in the 1st? That's the one we need to track for comparison. Do the same thing we did to poor Greg Ellis with Moss only make it a fair comparison this time.
