First off AC has never looked 225 his PFF reference says 210 most likely hes been 215-218 in the offseason but he’s always played around 210..he’s looking for sympathy and attention as all hes reading is negative stuff..

**When you know a younger/more talented WR is coming to take your spot**

Younger? sure.. More talented? I dunno about that.. Cooper is pretty damn talented.. He's bigger and faster t han CD and is a much better route runner. Maybe the reason he doesn't have to make circus catches is that he is always exactly where the route calls for him to be so the ball arrives right on time and one plane. In contrast, Lamb, being less consistent with his routes, is frequently having to do incredible things to catch balls that would have been right on the money had he simply run the route correctly. Just a theory, though.. ;-)

Cooper has surely had more than his share of trouble with his foot and ankle problems.

The lighter weight should serve him well to alleviate those forever persistent difficulties.

Coop has definitely looked noticeably bigger the last year or two.

Bad feet and ankles. Not good for a WR and he is only getting older. Only going to get worse with all these little injuries he keeps having. Probably wants to get his weight down so its less stress on those ankles. IM leaning more towards resigning Gallup and moving on from Cooper every day.

I've wondered about his weight before. 225 seemed pretty big for his frame.

This is true to an extent, but remember Cooper agreed to his current deal that gives not only the an out after this year but also give him options. In other words, he's playing this year to keep his current contract OR a new deal from 31 other teams. Many may not remember during his last negotiation, he wasn't shy about not wanting a long-term deal 3-4 deal w/o options. This is why his current deal only has two guaranteed years.
