Amari Cooper?

Rumor is Raiders may be looking to trade Cooper and are looking for a DE. Story suggests Gregory and #2. Downside is Coopers contact (calls for 13mm next year) and his drops. Contract is something that can be worked out before trade. Hes been averaging 5.6M a year, maybe 3-5 years at 7-8M a yr. Drops is a concern but Gregory also has baggage for Oakland. If pick is to high maybe conditional 3rd to 2nd but we probably wont be only team showing interest.
trade would immediately upgrade our wr's and give us a legit 24yo #1

I'd have interest in Cooper. I am totally on board taking chances on high skilled guys if the price is right - I would have been all over Josh Gordon, for example.

But I am not trading a second rounder for Cooper. He'd have to hit some real thresholds to even make me consider even giving them a conditional 2nd rounder.

FA wide receiver class looks pretty barren. There would need to be some surprise WR cuts IMO.

Im only trading that high a pick to take on money if that guy is a true #1. I dont know if Cooper is that. Mid round pick, and Im interested in Cooper

I will take any WR with a pulse at this point. But he wouldn't see the field here. They would take 6 weeks to get him acclimated. Meanwhile Gordon goes to the Pats and is starting within a week!
