Looking at his stats last year, Amari had NINE Games where he caught for 80 or more yeards, then there were Seven games where he caught for 48 yards or less, including games of 0, 3, 19 and 38 yards.
I know there was a game he had an injury, but wouldn't you think a star receiver would have a couple of less really Low TD games?? Why the inconsistency, and will the arrival of Cee Dee Lamb decrease his yards even more?? He Is, after all, getting big money to do Big things.

So many reasons for the drop off. With all the weapons we have I’m expecting balance yardage means nothing

Coop has been dealing with Plantar Fasciitis. Which is an inflammation of a thick band of tissue that connects the heel bone to the toes. The inflamed tissue runs across the bottom of the foot.

It's self curable, but only if you stay off of it for a long period of time. Such as the off season. Hopefully, it won't flare up again in the upcoming season.

He was hurt, but it was a weird year . Only four time did he get 10+ targets and in one of those had 24 yards. Also had six games with 5 or less targets but had 106 yards in one of those games. Sometimes you just chalk it up to a glitch in the matrix.

Well the entire team **** the bed towards the end of the season. Not an excuse for anyone, they just fell apart.

You need to pay better attention to the team you follow homie. Coop was injured with multiple niggles (Aussie slang!) throughout the season that had no chance to get better as it progressed.
Maybe you do follow the team, but you may be a weed smoker so you can tend to forget.
I get it.

if that's the case, then that explains a lot. with that injury you lose a lot of your explosiveness in cutting because it would hurt so damn much, so you tend to round your cuts, thus not having to push off it. for a WR that's bad because then they can't get any separation.

Exactly. Plus he technically played in the Pats game but was hurt and had two targets for zero yards. In the second Eagles game Dak was hurt and badly overthrowing so he only had 4 catches on 12 targets. Most of those were at least a couple of feet out of his reach so you can't put that on Amari.

Just looking at talent depth one should believe we will run less 2 TE sets and more 3 WR sets with a sprinkle of 2 RB sets. That puts lamb on the field more in addition to normal rotation. It will be interesting to see who moves inside as Cooper can play anywhere.

I see zero point in 2 or 3 te sets. Unless you have 3 star TEs all it's doing is telegraphing a run play. Split em out with 3wrs and force teams to stop Zeke with pass coverage units. Garrett wanted to impose his will on other teams which is a total joke in 2020.

You know how you have to go to the bathroom to take a leak, but then you have to spin around. That's Coop, he's actually a number two pretending to be a number one. --JK

Most receivers have some bad receiving games. Good defenses or just not as much part of the game plan.
But Cooper said he was hurt the most in his career the 2nd half of last season.

I think we see a lot of big plays this year. At least one of these 3 receivers is going to get single coverage on nearly every passing down. Most teams are going to probably wind up playing a zone against us because there is just no way they can match up man to man. Lamb should just have some ridiculous opportunities from the slot. WR Screens are going to be a big part of the offense as well as rub routes and crossing patterns. RB screen will also be huge.
