To an extent yes but without the luxury of having a 1st rd. pick under a rookie contract for 4 years. I had mix feelings on Cooper deal but never had an issue with the player. Cowboys made the deal and I have given my opinion and moved on, I like having Cooper here and think a player of his caliber can go a long way in helping this offense to start hitting on all cylinders

I get that, but the trade-off is having a SEASON player ( only 24 ) who can impact this offense immediately.

Hopefully Dez can hit him on the deeper sideline routes with some consistency, completing a couple of those a game would transform this offense instantly.

geez an ad IN the actual video, like tv. I guess that was inevitable

Well when youtubers get noticed and popular YouTube pays them for their content. Voch get paid. Ads are the only way to get paid.

Once you start getting ads on your channel you know you have made it!

Some youtubers never made it to this point or it took years for YouTube to find interest in ones content.

And I see both sides of this. I like the player and frankly over the fact we gave up a 1st. I think the trade has a big upside to it but a 2nd would have been great as opposed to a 1st.

Agree 100%.....

My thing is Dallas had to give up a 1st, it was just too many 2nd rd deals out there and more than likely Dallas gets out bid had they stayed true to a 2nd rd pick also.

Without cooper our offense doesnt even look anywhere close to what it is now and we more than likely lose to philly and Zeke doesnt have a big game.

Cooper is all of 6 months older than than Calvin Ridley, the guy people wanted the Cowboys to draft this year. The way I look at it, the Cowboys spent their 2019 first round pick on a receiver just like a payday loan.

The best part of the deal is that they know their pick can play in the league at a high level, which is something they wouldn't know about their draft pick.

Except not unlike payday loans, you borrow $100 and pay back $1000 (all 4 cheap rookie years have been used up). And you feel even worse when Cooper’s dropsies make their inevitable return.

Of all the things that have bothered me about this season, giving up the first pick is not one of them. In hindsight this is going to have been a great move. The talent evaluation department in Frisco has gotten way better.

I honestly hate to see anyone get hurt, but that video says it all

In the end, there were trade offs. The Cowboys got a first round talent - probably even a high first round talent - but they gave up a high draft pick that could have yielded a player on the roster for 4 years at rookie level pay. We have to pay Cooper more, but there wasn't the same uncertainty about how his talents play out at the NFL level as there would be with a rookie. Ultimately the key to it being a good deal will be if the Cowboys can extend Cooper's contract. If he leaves after 2019 the deal wasn't worth it.

On play #1, if the ball would have come out on time, like right before he broke, that could have been a huge gain.
