Amari revisited

I think we can all say he has had a very positive effect upon this team..O still not great overall, but Zeke, Gallup, Bease, etc...all benefiting from having him on the field. Imagine if we were healthy on the OL?
32 likes lol that is pretty good, so others feel the same way.
I think it is way too soon to say what your saying, he has only been here for 2 games,
one showed no change in other players or our offense, the next game was more positive and a win, so now you make all these assumptions based I guess on this one game we barely won?
I was angered at first, but that was actually an excellent trade. There is no one we would have gotten on offense that would have the impact Amari is having now. We are already seeing the dividends of having Amari out there drawing attention.
Again no dividends the first game and I think the team was just fired up for this game.
I saw them before the game started and that was the most fired up I have seen them all year.
plus they got into a fight with the eagles before the game, and I "imagine" things were said by
the eagles that fired up the cowboy players even more.

overall he helps, and he did make 1 play early that I liked, the catch and short run for a first
down, on 3rd and long, showed he can make the short tough runs, and knows where the line to gain is. I liked that. I think we scored first time on that drive not sure.
but kudo's to him on that and for a good game.

But still dont let 1 game get you guys to thinking he solved all our problems.
wait and see what happens in Atlanta game before you get too excited lol.

This is not the guy that had a sub-1000 season last year.

He's a legit #1.

I just wish he was opposite Dez.
yeah it would be nice to have another top guy opposite amari. and so far he does look
to be legit, but still too soon to be all in on him.

The threat of Cooper going deep moves the DBs back, which is the entire reason they made the trade. He showed tonight why it was a good trade and by the end of the season he will have his timing down with Dak so he will make the deep catches he missed tonight.
the entire reason they made the trade........ no it isnt, jerry wanted more scoring
someone Dak could throw to often, who could get wide open.
There were many reasons for the trade not just 1.

it is still too early to analyze Amari and his effect on dallas offense, only 2 games
played guys and 1 was awful.
I do think other things factored into our win in philly, so I am going to wait
and see how Atlanta game goes.
Maybe another big win, you know 2 in a row might get me to jump on the Amari train lol.

He's already more productive and better than any WR we could have drafted with that 1st round pick.
well that is assuming dallas was or would have drafted a WR in the first round.
Usually teams go with the best player available, that they also have a need for.

But if they were going to go WR Amari is a good pick, and they got him early, dont have to wait for 2019 draft lol.

Only thing is Amari is young , but has 2 years of wear and tear on him already,
and his rookie contract is up this year?
I think it goes up to around 14 mil next season if they want to keep him,
so no advantage of several years at a lower salary they would get with a rookie.

But hey it may work out so that he is worth the pick, only time will tell.

It was rejected because the Cowboys offered a better deal lol. Let me get this straight...you think the Raiders would take a 2nd rounder and a 4th or 3rd rounder for Cooper as opposed to taking a 1st and swapping 2nd's from the Titans lol?You think our 2nd rounder was worth more than the Titans 1st rounder lol?
No. They didn't take the first rounder because it was conditional. The Titans didn't offer a straight first, otherwise the Raiders would have taken it.
So that deal is off the table.
Plus, the Raiders are more likely not wanting to trade within the AFC.
So, the Cowboys are up to bat. With no first round offer, the Raiders are back to the drawing board. And here we come offering a first round pick, straight up.
I think we panicked.

You won't hit on an LVE every year.

Nor will we hit a Taco every year. We’ve done VERY well with our 1st round picks. The last bust I remember - as it’s too early to say Taco is done improving - is Mo Claiborne. That’s ONE bust in the last 9 years. Maybe 2 if Taco busts. The rest are pro-bowl caliber players.

And again, we’re talking about an early-to-mid 1st. You’re getting a hell of a lot better prospect than Taco in that range.

I guess this helps contribute to the narrative that the Cowboys don't know what they are doing......none of what you say makes any sense. Titans offered a 1st rounder along with the Cowboys. I'm not sure why this is so difficult for you to understand.....did you go to DISD schools?

Amari seems to be the best receiver we have had since Irvin. Dez couldn't hold Amari's jock in his prime.

I agree. Think about it. We had some older WRs who were good. Glenn and maybe Galloway. Even Owens wasn’t here that long. Bryant was up and down. We haven’t had consistency at that position since Irvin went down in Philly 20 years ago. We have been living off the Miles Austins, Patrick Clayton’s, and Cole Beasley’s. None of those are in Cooper’s league. Not even close.

This drove me batty trying to explain to those that didnt watch Cooper, that Cooper hadnt been bad the last two years. Everything around him was bad.

STOP THE BOX SCORE SCOUTING

It makes sense if you want to understand. Logic is not always binary.
But thanks for playing. :)
