All the players know it. It wont stop them from getting what they’re worth…..they’ll just have to leave this team to get it.

Rayne Dakota isn’t at fault for the contract and it’s ramifications…..it’s Mr Jones’

They got rid of Dez, they are going to get rid of Cooper, next year it will be Zeke. Lot of scapegoats to excuse 4

It's too bad 31 other NFL front offices and scouting departments do not have the knowledge of the fans on this board. How has Dez Bryant done in the NFL since he was no longer being "dragged down" by Dak Prescott?

Aaron Rodgers is obviously an all time great QB you pay him. Russell Wilson is winning a SB in his second season, almost winning another in his third season, you pay him. Patrick Mahomes is absolutely amazing doing things never seen before, ya pay him. What has Dak ever done to think he should be paid like those guys? That right there is what bugs me and no not a Dak hater try a Cowboy lover. Why put his team that is already paying a running back way too much in that $$$$$ situation?

Dak has done nothing at all to prove he deserves to be paid like the elite QB's, hell Rodgers, Wilson, Mahomes are the best QB's in franchise history, we can't say that about Dak at all.

Every penny we pay Dak and Zeke is less we have to build our team and they both make way too much and we all know it.

Dak should rework that contract as of right now it's ridiculous.

Because this is what quarterbacks cost. Judging everybody on the Rodgers, Wilson, and Mahomes level means there should be around 25 starting quarterbacks making the league minimum. Look at the signing bonuses first round draft picks get before they even play in an NFL game.

If the Cowboys didn't pay Dak what they ultimately did, do you honestly think another team wouldn't have? The same thing is going on now in Arizona with Kyler Murray. He hasn't won a Super Bowl yet, he's not the best QB in the league, so I guess the Cardinals should kick him to the curb and pick up Andy Dalton??

The Cowboys' best chance to win in the immediate future was by giving Dak that contract. He was and still is better than any other option factually available to the Cowboys. We're not getting Mahomes or Josh Allen and drafting a quarterback is an absolute crapshoot. Would you rather have Prescott or the next Blake Bortles or Mitch Trubisky?

I’m sure players walking into the front office and demanding their teammates take a pay cut would be great for the locker room.

Honesty, I wonder how people come up with this stuff sometimes. And I thought I was irrational.

I wouldn't want a player on my team that was willing to throw a teammate under the bus by making that statement.

......and it's not like Jones and the coaches don't have a profile containing intimate knowledge and a exhaustive evaluation of each player. That's what you do when you are preparing to spend millions.

So no matter what Dak will always have a contract on par with Superbowl winning QB's despite the fact he hasn't won anything, really my man? You don't see something wrong with that?

You see nothing wrong with...

Dak....I need Russell Wilson money? Come on man that is simply wrong. Dak isn't close to Wilson but should be paid as if he were, hell no!

The only way a player willingly takes a pay cut is if the act of cutting them costs them more money than they would get paid otherwise. Dak has a 20m salary this year. If you think he cannot EASILY get that if he hit free agency then you are fooling yourself. Therefore there is no reason he would ever consider a pay cut.

Meanwhile Amari also has a salary of 20m. There is a reasonable bet that he would not get that on the free agent market.
