Amazing Elk Herd

That's unreal. It has to be over a thousand. Is that in Alaska?

No idea where it is. I counted 311 in that video. How many went by before she started filming? Or were still coming down? Or did I lose when she panned the camera?

It is just unreal to see that many at one time.

They have a pretty good population in Rocky Mountain National Park.

I think I will go sight in my .308 Winchester Model 88 this weekend just for giggles.

Amazing how many were in that group.

I was with a couple of photographers in western New Mexico a few years ago and they were tracking a few to try to get pictures. Seeing them and hearing them bugle was neat.

cheers, as far as i'm aware we don't get that over here, certainly i've never seen it. would rather a blue cheese and pepper sauce with my steak anyway :D

That video could have been shot in the Rockies, either in the U.S. or Canada. My guess is Colorado. I've seen large herds in the Banff - Jasper area. They're protected in the National Parks and the biggest ones I've seen have been in that area. That's a remarkable sized herd. I've seen number in excess of 200 - 300, but not very often.
