Anyone else watching this tonight? I'm looking forward to it.

I've already heard rumors and seen a few grainy pictures of OCC's entry into the deal. It looks like a backwards snowmobile and from what I gather, it's going to shoot flames. Not exactly the entry I would place into a chopper build-off, but hey, it'll at least be interesting.

I do believe it'll come down to Jesse James and PJD though.

I thought PJD basically turning a P51 Mustang into a bike was a pretty cool deal. I think it turned out really nice and it seems to have a much more natural riding position than the other two, but then again, I'm not a huge fan of the ape hanger/old school style that JJ went for.

OCC just went off the deep end.

I'll take that PJD bike all day long.

Yeah, that one is it.

I have no idea what OCC was thinking, bringing a John Deere all-terrain farm and ranch trike to the competition of a chopper build off.

As soon as Rick splits from OCC and heads over to Pauly, they'll have to close up shop.

The detail on the primary cover of the PJD bike is just awesome. Love the wooden propeller wheels too.

I think the bike is a little too gaudy.

I realize they're supposed to be creative but there's a line between creativity and just excessive.

That bike looks like the Lady Gaga of choppers.

I'm a big fan of the color of polished copper. I prefer it to gold actually. Jesse James built a wholly copper clad or copper plated bike a few years ago. I thought it was a bit too much, but I still loved the look of it.

I caught the last half the re-air. Man, the thing smokes out of the pipes too? Oh, that's just schweet.

And the three-blade wooden insert hubs were also off the chain.

Jesse James reminds me so much of my cousin that has his own auto-shop in St. Hedwig. Both sound a lot alike and don't use 9 words when 8 will do.

I'm not terribly surprised.

The interview with Jr and Sr next to each other was just awkward. Then they bring Jesse out and he's just so abrasive and classless. Just more awkwardness.

JJ's bike looked amateurish....almost embarrassing. He came of sounding like a total d-bag.

JJ looks like he was roped into the competition and had nothing but disdain for the entire process. He's a bike builder for people who've always liked them, not the nouveau crowd that's become enamored with them over the last decade.

He was the only one that built a real bike.

That show is, and always will be, a complete joke to people that build bikes....and most people that actually ride them.

Everything Jesse James said is the truth.

Jesse hit it on the head when he said let's go ride and see who goes farther. Jr's bike looks good but it's made to put in a show room.

I'm sure if they had made a stipulation that the bikes had to be ridden a few hundred miles to the competition, PJD and OCC could have managed to do that. They have lots of talented people at both companies.

That was not a rule so PJD made the look/design of the bike the star. It obviously resonated with more people and even 2 out of the 3 "experts" chose PJD's bike.

There is actually NO comparison as to which builder is more capable. Jesse knows how to build bikes from raw metal. The Tuttles(sp) do not. Jesse builds his own damn motors. The Tuttles do not. NO comparison.

The most appropriate comment I heard on that show was when Jesse said that their (PJD) version of progress was "beep. beep. beep.". 98% of OCC and PJD bikes are built elsewhere and show up to their factory via UPS....they're just glorified assemblers that throw together a theme bike once a month for television.

As far as builders go, Jesse James isn't very high on the pecking order....but Senior and Paul aren't even considered "builders" by their peers.
