Well I'm probably way behind on this, but I just found out who was voted the number 1 team of all time according to the "America's Game" show and if you didn't know it was the 72 undefeated dolphins. Every time I hear somebody say the 72 Dolphins were the best Super Bowl team of all time I have the same thought, which is this.
The last team that beat the Dolphins before they went on the undefeated streak was the 71 Cowboys in the SuperBowl where they destroyed the Dolphins. I know big things can happen from one year to the next, but things couldn't have changed that much back in the early 70's not in the time before the salary cap. So if the 72 Dolphins were so incredable then why aren't the 71 Cowboys ever considered even close to the the 72 Dolphins. America's game had the 71 Boys as 15 and the 72 Dolphins as 1..... thats a pretty big gap considering just one year earlier basically the same team was getting stomped by the other.
