I think it's a lame way to try to prop up morale. That stuff is 20-30 years ago. So utterly not relevant. A lot of those former stars are NO LONGER LIVING!

Now that doesn't mean I won't spend the next 30 minutes watching. ;)

Based on the responses, I guess it's not cool to be proud of being a Cowboys fan anymore. Consider me a huge freakin' dork.

Oh, those are the Dallas cowboys, that's why I'm so disgusted with the franchise today.... we'll get back there...someday.

Be careful that is my "Cowboy's Life" your talking about. Wow...what a ride. I think I remember everyone of those film clips. That is my memories of why I am a Cowboy fan and proud of it. Thank you Tom and Jimmy, and all the great athlete's we have seen come through our organization. Jerry, you were rude to the greatest coach in NFL history. You hired the only man that could restore the Cowboys at that time....congratulations. Then you fired him.....stupid! You have been fortunate enough to have our legacy in your hands....stop messing it up - PLEASE!!! One last comment...man could Troy throw a "pretty spiral". I am a Cowboy fan....whether we are winning or losing....that's life.

Love the Cowboys, love the history, I am a Cowboys fan today because of Roger the Dodger....but, as someone else stated, let's re-write the story to include a new chapter of success...kids these days need to identify with the team and I can't blame someone for not being a fan of the 70's teams or the 90's teams if you didn't experience it first hand, especially the 1-15 season prior to the 90's runs - at least the win was against the hated Commanders!!! But, that 1-15 season is what made the 90's team so enjoyable.

We need a man to lead the Cowboys to the promised land(Super Bowl wins-multiple). The last man who built such a team was Jimmy Johnson. The question is who out there can be the man to create the next Cowboys Dynasty? Who is the next Jimmy Johnson?

I'm in my 20's. This "America's Team" stuff is strange to me.

I get they are the most popular team but I would not want that label. To me it's something that could be thrown in your face.

I used to think it was Jason Garrett but with every passing game it's becoming more and more apparent that he is way too green for this job. He attached himself to an archaic offense and still has too many management blunders. I wish he went to the Ravens and then came back here 10 years later.

Someone out there!!!!!!!!!, tell me who could be the next JIMMY JOHNSON for the Cowboys. Need a ray of hope, that the Cowboys could be great again in the future. Is there a coach out there that can lead us to greatness?

Absolutely no one!!!!!!!! As long as Jerry is in ultimate control of the football decisions. One of the primary reasons that Jimmy was successful was he had it written into his contract that he had final decision making authority on anything relating to football operations. Jerry has stated many times since Jimmy left that no one ever again would have such power - except him. A better coach will help, but we will never - absolutely never - be a consistent winner again as long as Jerry controls everything "from socks to jocks" as he so famously said of himself. The absolute best that we can hope for under Jerry is an occasional trip to the playoffs and an even rarer run deep into the playoffs. These excursions into the playoffs will be few and far between.

OK, Al Bundy.

If there was a hole in the roof, it wouldn't be for a "God". God would be able to see through the roof, right?

The whole "America's Team" has been somewhat of a fan-centric POV that, imo, is a ridiculous concept.

I love the Cowboys, but c'mon.

Hey I'll never get tired of watching those 90's Cowboys. And I think that team could play with any team from any era.

But I don't think we can talk about our successes 20... 30.. years ago to prove anything. And I refuse to use the label America's team anymore.

I think someone will rise from the ashes to lead the Cowboys back to Dynasty status. It will take someone with a strong will and great determination.
Who will it be?
