Traveling lane mainly, but it has happened in both.
And it's not cuz the guy just wants me to move over so he could pass. I've had guys tail me, I'll speed up to about 90 for about 30 seconds, then back to my normal speed, the guy will catch up to me, then slow down and stay behind me when he catches me. I'll even pass someone and get just in front of the person I just passed so that the guy trailing won't have room to get behind me, but the ******* will wait till there is room and slide in.
Sounds like he thinks you may have a radar detector.
Another one that ticks me off...
Being behind someone in the passing lane, when we are passing another vehicle they are just barely going faster than the passee, but as soon as the right lane is clear and you would think that they could get over out of the way, they speed up to 10mph above the speed limit. But as soon as we catch up to another vehicle, same thing...slows down to just barely passing the other car.
Also, ever notice someone that is behind another car and going the same speed, but once they encounter a traffic light, the second car HAS to get in the left lane for some reason. Like a power rush to be first in line.
I read somewhere once that people who do things like this have no other "power" in their life. As in they are not a boss at work, have a more dominant spouse, and this is their only time in their day that they feel "power"
