These are comparable 10, 20 and 40 times to Dontari Poe except his 40 is a bit faster. His shuttle and cone compares to Donald drafted this year. He was drafted 10th by the Texans and at age 19 was the youngest player drafted since the merger.

I expect him to play well when he is ready. If he has no residual movement dysfunction (unlikely) then he is recovered from his illness and getting ready to play is conditioning.

I think Cowboys also have a kid in waiting who I think will make a big impact next year
Whaley, Chris

Forgot all about him. If Melton plays up to his normal expectations, the Cowboys are deeper than we think at DT with Melton, Crawford, Brent, Okoye, Whaley. DE may be more of a priority than DT.

Right now I would have to say DE is a need more so than DT. Not to say I would pass up a stud DT in the draft. :)

Cowboys defensive tackle Amobi Okoye went through yesterday’s practice, signaling the start of a three-week window to work before the Cowboys have to decide to activate him or leave him on the reserve/non-football injury list.

It was good, it was worth it,” Okoye said, via Calvin Watkins of ESPNDallas.com. “It was mixed emotions. It felt like it naturally was coming back. I’ve played six years in the league [and], it doesn’t take too long for stuff to come back to you.”

He said he’d talk more about his condition during the bye week in November, but he’s impressed his teammates with the work he’s already put in.

“He’s been through a lot,” linebacker Bruce Carter said. “His story is amazing. A guy like that who works real hard, I see him all the time working [with strength and conditioning coordinator Mike Woicik] one-on-one. Just to see him actually working with [us] and see it pay off is a great thing. I think he’s going to do great things for us.”

What an awesome story. I'm really rooting for this guy and hope he makes it through that 21 days with a positive outcome.

I would be surprised if we had that opportunity late in the 1st round, but the DEs look like a good group next draft.

I wouldn't be too surprised if both DE and DT were addressed in the next draft, especially if the quality is there. As far as Okoye is concerned, I would agree the likelihood is that he'll be more than likely to be next year's DT candidate than this one.
No doubt, there are other positions of need like FS, OT and perhaps CB that could easily command attention.
Maybe it's not a bad idea to pursue the acquisition of a young QB to groom and compete with Vaughn for #3.

He's happy, and despite having the munchies, maintaining a svelte figure.

Isn't that the dream of middle age?

Not to my eye but one mere pic is not enough to worry too much; concerned would have been a better word.

So Stepnoski was Cap'n Dan the whole time?
Yea! I thought I was the only one to guess Lt. Dan, with the army green coat, and shades to cover the dark circles under his eyes, but the long hair and boney legs had me doubting it.
