Taking a close look at the stats sheet for tonight's game, one stat just leaps out:

478 yards of total offense, and 45 points...

On 55 plays...

I repeat, on 55 plays... think about that for a second... that ain't nothin' but pure offensive domination...

No matter what else may or may not be true of the Dallas Cowboys, this much is undeniable-- that offense is good... very, very good... unless they have one of those games where they shoot themselves in the foot via the turnover, I don't see many defenses out there that can hold this offense under 30 points...

I'd suggest that any questions about Tony Romo being a one-hit wonder early last season have now been laid to rest... again, 345 yards passing, on just 24 attempts?? Not only is he gonna lead the league in passing yardage after week 1, I have a hunch that he'll rank up pretty high in the yards per attempt category, too... :D

I'll take all those 128.5 quarterback rating games I can get... now to see how he fares in the NFC Offensive Player of the Week voting...

All that said, can any of y'all tell me how much one of those home defibrillator kits cost??

yeah the offense was almost perfect...take away Romo's stupid pick, a couple of 1st half errant throws and the play they tried to run for Hoyte, it was about as good as it gets

wish we could say the same for the D

Romo averaged over 23 yards per completion, last Cowboy QB to do that was Staubach in '71

Romo also led the NFL in another category last year, I think it was yards per attempt, the 1st player to do that since...Staubach in '71

and you mention his escapability and playmaking skills, and I see alot of similarities between the 2 here

Interesting note:

Before the game, the No. 1 Offense in the league was Denver who put up 470 yards of offense.

So that's right people, we have the No. 1 offense in the league with 478 yards.

Congrats to Jason Garrett!

(Not so great news, with 433 yards of offense, the NYG are No. 4 in the league).

to think we could be even better if Barber gets most of the playing time! with him gettin most of the playing time we would without a doubt be the best offense in the NFL. yes i would take us over the Colts!

So using my excellent math skills that means we have the 28th ranked D. :(
