An attacking defense, but what about stopping the run?

There are similarities with our new DC and Marinelli. Teams generally did not run wild on those teams. Its a stop the run on the way to the QB approach. I expect them to be solid vs the run, I'm more concerned about a consistent pass rush as they like to only rush 4 most of the time. We'll see.

You forgetting the famous CJ Anderson playoff game? That was Rod Marinelli's defense that got torched by the Rams.

If we're going to have an attacking defense, how will we focus on stopping the run with guys trying to get to the QB? Get up the field and attack, yet there's holes being left for RB'S to do what they do best against this defense, I hope we find some kind of middle ground! Please give your thoughts!

Film study, understand the way they manage a game, down and distance tendencies, study foot placement, forward lean, where the weight is on their feet and hands.....etc

Looks like those four will primarily be Parsons, Fowler, Odighizuwa and Thomas. Could sub in a couple of DEs for the DTs on absolute passing downs. I think on the early downs we will play Kneeland and Turner at end (with Parsons at a linebacker spot) and Mazi and (right now) Odighizuwa at DT. Hopefully, we get another run stopper in this draft (and Mazi continues to improve).

Mason Graham would look awfully good in the defense. But, he's probably not lasting until 12, I think we should consider a trade back and take a look at the kid for Ole Miss, Walter Nolan. If not him, then the Kentucky DT in round 2. We need some run stuffers.

IMHO, the reason the Cowboys struggle to stop the run is more about discipline than anything else. Defense is a team thing. Every guy has to do his job and expect the other 10 guys to do theirs too. Their outside contain is awful. LBs are slow to react and often out of position. DTs don't occupy offensive linemen long enough. CBs miss tackles or avoid tackles.

That's weird, why would they message you and tell you that about me???? That's weird, we're adults, they can easily inbox me, express how they feel in an ADULT manner, and maybe we can come to a common ground. That would be the adult thing to do, but in the end, it's a blog lounge, i'm not getting paid for the MILLIONS OF posts I make, nor are they for the posts/comments they make, it's really not that serious!!

it's been a lack of discipline for SO long, when will there ever be discipline, maybe the discipline needs to be on the front office for not addressing the issue!???
