I'm quite sure this won't happen, but I tell you something I would love to see at training camp this year.

*Bring in Aikman to work with QB's
*Bring in Irvin to work with WR's
*Bring in Emmitt to work with RB's
*Bring in Haley to work with DL
*Bring in Nate to work with OL
*Bring in Woodson to work with DB's

I don't mean make them coaches, I mean bring them in as guest "coaches"/advisors just for training camp.

Let this gutless team be around champions in building for the next season. Get the Hard Knocks kind of stuff out of training camp. All business, all work, nothing but a championship matters.

The odds of this happening are about as slim as Jason Garrett calling a flea flicker.....but yes, it would sure be lovely to see this. It'd spark some fire under these young guys tails....

I know how much everyone here wants to resurrect our past dynasty, but I'm not even sure this will work for these players.

I think they should just practice in training camp with their positions coaches and get better that way.

Besides, I don't see why any of those legendary players would even want to come around this team after tonight. It's hard to make a case that a lot of the players cared a whole lot about the playoffs, imo.

And if the players don't care about the playoffs, why bother working with them. (Perhaps why bother following them! ;) )

Only a little over 9 months until next year. And about 11 months until December 09.

Hitting? Tackling?
yea no doubt! No more of this camp cupcake by Wade have a real training camp. we are by far the worst tackling team in the NFL because of wade's softness...

They need to quit going to country club locales and do it in the blazing Texas heat, send hem to Lubbock in July that way they have nothing to distract them unless they are big Buddy Holly and Texas Tech fans.

I wouldn't do it so much for instruction purposes (most great players are lousy coaches because they think everyone should be able to do what they did), but for ATTITUDE purposes.

I think the #1 thing missing from this team is a champion's mindset and attitude. Being around players that have that in their gut might just have a positive affect on them.

No more Oxnard.

What, is San Antonio really that much better. Does not matter where it's at. It's all the same coaches, team, owner, etc...

Erik Williams worked with the O-line in camp this year.

Did it help them?

You still want to keep Wade, Lab? :)

Erik Williams was a worthless revolving door that got holding penalties every drive at the end of his career.

Honestly, I'm tired of Jones trying to live in the past. I want some good coaches in here and not a constant stream of "guests" in and out of training camp. Man, I'm just tired of the whole approach. Keep training camp about work and less about marketing.

Lubbock is just the place, those West Texans will refuse business to Cowboys out after hours as they are serious about their football.

Not sure how that's germane to the discussion. Are you?

But no, he probably needs to go. Although I still think Red Jesus did by far the worse coaching job this year.

Wade would probably be fine if Jerry would let him build a team the way he wants to, same as with any head coach. But throwing a bunch of mismatched pieces together -- both coaches and players -- and expecting them to be a cohesive team won't ever work, no matter who the HC is.

I started the thread, so I know the topic. :) I was just giving you a hard time since you have been so ready to disagree with me lately. ;) I actually enjoy your posts, but I do disagree with you about Wade. I wanted Norv Turner, and I still believe he would have been a better choice. Doesn't matter now.
